A week ago, Clegg dive bombed his way into the election. A week ago, the restrictions on flying over the UK came in.

For 7 days, the news has been dominated by the Volcanic ash. This in the middle of a closely fought election campaign.

Since then, Cameron has plummeted in the polls, and it looks like his party will not form the next government.

OK, the ash has affected a large area. Why though has the UK been much more stringent in the restrictions they've imposed.

Call me cynical, but in the murky world of politics, what would stop the likes of Mandelson manipulating the volcano to his party's ends?

Seriously, you need to lie down in a dark room for a while.

OK, shouldn't be so hard seeing as all this ash has blacked out the sun. :greengrin

ps I take it you don't subscribe to my conspiracy theory.

I don't think he's running for parliament is he?

I don't think he's running for parliament is he?

I've no idea what he's doing. He's dropped off the radar ever since his party took a battering at the regional elections last month - not that he's wanting to
disassociate himself from the fiasco or anything. :cool2:

disassociate himself from the fiasco or anything. :cool2:

So he has absolutely no interest in a story that would keep political affairs off the news schedules? Mind you, he's not involved in a war where a big offensive was expected around about, er, well around about now actually.

Not heard much about Afghanistan recently either. Of course, the whole thing might have been engineered by Portsmouth FC, to keep the news of their £120 (one hundred and twenty) million, debt.

I wish I'd remembered to put Greggs at the top of this thread. Actually, their shop on Great Junction Street is closed, who's to say they aren't in on it all as well.

I think you should threaten to do time over all this.

Alwight cynical? :greengrin

I’ll go with a conspiracy theory.

The Tory’s and Labour head honchos arranged for a mad scientist to travel incognito back in time to Iceland where his laser guided remote volcanic eruption inducer inductor time machine sparked off the volcano a week to 10 days before the leaders TV show.

They had seen the Clegg effect on the 42” plasma crystal balls. :agree:

[Why they just didn’t use it to see what the final result is I just don’t know but it would have spoiled an absolutely ridiculous D list post!]

The UK, along with two thirds of Europe, was completely shut down for varying periods. I’m not quite sure how the other countries complete shutdown was less stringent than our complete shut down which, in actual fact, was less stringent than a complete shutdown, albeit for very short periods, given Scotland and NI were a wee bit open and therefore not complete shutdown. :cool2:

Anyway I’m about to put a quiz up, see ya later. :bye:

I think you are letting your paranoia cloud your judgement, and frankly, it`s cast something of a shadow over your reputation for posting good stuff. It`s a shame and you`ve left yourself something of a mountain to climb in terms of re-establishing your nicer previous image.
