6 weeks out looks like minor knee surgery, probably a wee scraping to remove some crap that floats around and gets between the joint.

I was going to back Spain at the World Cup, ill wait to see if he is fit before I put my money on them.

torres and van persie would be up there with rooney and messi imo if the injuries werent holding them back

torres is absolutely electric but with such a dodgy knee he could end up going the way of michael owen and it could trigger little breaks,pulls,niggles if cartlidge is constantly opened up and/or torn

van persie is different gravy but made of porcelain.

rooney always seems to recover well from bone breaks and seems more resiliant

11th of June. It depends what they mean by rehab. Does it mean 6 weeks to return to training or 6 weeks to get match fit?

6 weeks time is the 30th of May. If it's the later he'll make it.

He will probably need to try and get back and fit in enough time to start training with the Spanish squad aswell if he wants to start the first game. A big blow to Liverpools chances of winning Europa League aswell.
