In all honesty if performances don't improve in our next 2 games against the ugly sisters surely they'll end up getting offered more tickets due to poor ticket sales?

Hearts won't get that, they will recieve the same allocation as Celtic did, as will Rangers.

I'd think instead of Hearts getting 2 blocks in the lower they will get one block in both tiers. I don't think you'd be allowed Hibs above Hearts in a Derby.

Oh well, at least they'll be outnumbered in that stand, that's if we actually sell all our tickets.

And you think that Hearts would sell another 2800 seats if they lose their next two games

South Stand will have Hearts fans at the bottom section towards the old East, Hibs fans will be above them but they seats will be last to be sold and at that will not sell the first couple of rows immediately above.

Basically the same as what Celtic had

Its just a thought, but maybe we could repay the compliment for their display before our CIS Cup celebrations and stay behind and party if we do win.

Big if, but the longer we stay, the longer they have to stay and watch.

I sat directly directly above them when the West Stand was being built. Game ended 0-0 with Mixu missing a last minute penalty. All that happened was the front few rows, infront of the walk way, were left empty so there weren't Hibs fans leaning over the front above the Jambos.

Joking aside, that HAS to be a mistake. It sounds like somebody at Hearts has put the wrong figure on their website.

Why would Hibs give 1600 tickets to Celtc but only 700 to Hearts?

I could be totally wrong but didn't celtic only get 700 initially and when we realised we weren't going to sell out offer them more??

When the west was being built Hibs fans were above the away fans for all the games at ER :agree:

Agreed, but considering OUR official site has the kick-off time as '24:00' I'd be pretty surprised if even 773 Hearts fans made it to the game!

I'm sure we used to pretty much sell out (with a larger capacity) for Derbies right through the Yam's 22 in a row run - and that included some MUCH worse seasons than we're currently experiencing as well as many televised games IIRC.

So why do you think the fans are so faint-hearted these days if that's your opinion?

Kick off times, plus if true that we are giving Hearts less than 20% of their normal allocation for a game we are highly unlikely to sell out ourselves for, hardly help inspire fans of either club to make an effort to attend.

Not sure we sold out regularly in 22 in a row era either, there were some big crowds then (27-28,000 at Ne'er Day in 1989 for example) but also quite a few 13-14,000 crowds when ER held more, in some cases Hearts fans were porbably about half the crowd at these games for example (January 1991 one case).
