On the radio at half time during the Hertz - Huns game they said that in the previous 259 league games when Rangers had held a lead at half time they had not lost the game. After yesterday, that is now 260 games.

That is an amazing record!

What they also said that the last time they had been winning at half-time, but lost the game was against Hibs. Can anyone remember the game?

Quick check on Soccerbase, must have been this game in 1996.

Was that a Jackson penalty to equalize?

I remember being ballboy when we beat them 2-1 haven been 1-0 down... 1996 sounds right, and I'm sure Jackos goal was a penalty.
I was next to the Huns in the old away end / terracing. It was fun :greengrin

I don't have any recollection of the goals tbh, which is a surprise since Graeme Donald scored, I should remember that one. :greengrin

I do remember a game when Brian Laudrup missed two penalties in a game at ER. Jim Leighton saved the first won but the ref deemed he had came off his line and then saved the retake, :thumbsup:but not sure if it was this game.

I remember both incidents but can't remember if they were the same game.

Remember the 2-1 game vividly, primarily because I had a pound on Rangers HT / Hibs FT at 22/1! Graeme Donald and Kevin Harper the scorers for us IIRC.

Also in 94/95 season Basile Boli scored in the first half and we scored 2 in the second to win 2-1 at the Road. Gordon Hunter scored 1 but cant mind who got our other goal.

By just doing a quick search, so it may be wrong, it seems that it's been just over 3 and a half years since we last lost a game where we have been ahead at half time.

That came at Parkhead at the start of the 06/07 season. Scott Brown put Hibs ahead after 8 minutes before two goals in four minutes from Zurawski and Vennegoor of Hesselink midway through the second half gave Celtic victory.
