That's good news though isn't it? For them anyway, because the original idea was bloody stupid.

Good news? Where the **** are that mob gonna find £10-15m??

Not a chance that stand will ever get built.

Yeah, of course more sensible but to announce this dilution of their ambition on the day after a 'shock' Hibs result reeks of machiavellian spin of the highest order trying to bury the story.

the fuds can build thier new stand if they want, they still dont and never will have a pitch big enough to hold european games.:jamboak:

As stupid as it was, having the hotel etc... was how they were claiming they were going to finance it, if they're not doing the extra add ons how exactly are they going to pay for the stand and how are they going to service the extra debt now?

I'm sure kickback will be all over this :agree:

To be honest your probably right .will it ever happen at least not for quite some time. The timing however is more to do with the scotsman taking a few days to report what was announced at monday nights forum

I thought that rule had been adjusted in recent years?

The problem most likely lies with the annual accounts and debt figures. Yes when they where £24mil in debt they could speculate as to building it but now the debt is probably nearer the £45mil mark they cannot. So quick readjustment would/might mean £30mil but to go £75mil may cripple the holding company/them, and, although £60 mil may be their ceiling?? However...it could mean the debt is much worse than expected, maybe £50mil hence stating we will talk to anyone with investment.
