View Full Version : Urgent My daughter was murdered in Scotland - please sign the e-petition!
Dear All.
December 4, 2005 my beloved daughter Annie from Sweden was found dead in Prestwick, Scotland. At the time Annie was living in Edinburgh. Ever since the day of Annie´s death our family has tried to find out what happened, and due to the very strange circumstances that has come to light, we believe that Annie was the victim of a crime.
However the Strathclyde Police refuses to investigate Annie’s death as being the result of a crime. During this time we have also got to know of many other families treated in the same way by the Police. I now have handed in a petition to make a change for all of us.
This year a new unit has been created by Crown Office to look into current and future sudden and unexplained deaths. I therefore in my petition ask that the new unit shall also investigate past cases like my daughter’s and other’s.
Therefore to help all our families to get the answers about our loved ones, please sign the petition "Investigation of deaths in suspicious circumstances"! Use the link; http://epetitions.scottish.parliament.uk/view_petition.asp?PetitionID=373 (http://epetitions.scottish.parliament.uk/view_petition.asp?PetitionID=373)
For further information about Annie´s case please see our web-site for Annie; http://www.annierockstar.com/ (http://www.annierockstar.com/)Do you have ANY information about Annie? Please write to:

Thank you for your compassion and help! Guje Borgesson, Annie’s mother.

Not to be disrespectful in any way, but maybe this thread should be locked.

Why would it be locked? :dunno:
Why would it be locked? :dunno:
Because the first post says everything that needs said maybe? These type of threads tend to spiral into arguments and name calling while forgetting the OP intentions and then end up being locked or deleted and started again..

Because I'm guessing the mother posted this and I don't think we would have anything constructive to add. I think its better that the thread is locked rather than risk having discussion turn south.

Cheers, wasn't meaning to be arsey or anything, just wasn't sure what you meant.
Surely this is one of the few things that could be debated without it turning into name calling etc.. Considering what the thread is about I just can't see how it could go that way.

If the Crown are completely satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances, then so am I.
Sorry.

Posts like this are why the question came up about this thread being been locked. Steve your opinion is not a surprise to most but adds nothing to the thread other than to upset the OP. I cant even imagine what they went through and to read a post like yours must hurt deep.
While you are very very entitled to your opinion and again to your right not to sign the petition you could also have a bit of respect and thought for the people who have lost someone close by keeping your gob shut or in this case your fingers off the keyboard. If an opinion is not asked for then its better not to give one.

Or it might develop into an argument?

?
All I've done is quote the facts.
I really doubt that my post hurts that much when the Crown have concluded there are no suspicious circumstances?
I understand someone close not wanting to believe their loved one killed themselves but I'm not sure why others can't be more objective, nor why my 'opinion' (the actual conclusion of the case) is so terrible?

Why bother though? Why not read it and decide that you didn't want to sign and then leave the thread? It wasn't put up as a debate.
Anyway I am getting into exactly what I said shouldn't be happening on this thread so I will back off. All I ask is that you think before you post occassionally Steve, have a little empathy and learn to say nothing. All in my opinion of course.

It may not have been put up as a debate, but I think it's worth pointing out the facts of the matter, as the title could be rather misleading.
It may, or may not be true but the matter has been investigated.

So your quick scan of the facts qualifies you to say that the matter has been investigated sufficiently does it? I had a look at the petition and read a lot of the disputed facts, as well as the other cases that were in dispute, and it sounds to me like there are a lot of unanswered questions. And as Mrs S says maybe think before you post and try to have a little of bit of sensitivity.

I'm sorry but do the crown get their facts right 100% of the time?
A bereaved mother who believes her daughters was murdered has asked us if we are interested in signing a petition to have her case examined. She has not forced anyone to do so and has merely pointed us in the direction of a few sites where we can get some information on the case from her side. Those of us who wished to look at other angles on the case are perfectly free to do so and can make up our minds whether to sign the petition or not.
If, having looked at the available evidence, you decided not to sign the petition that is your right, however in the interests of sensitivity it may have been a wise idea to make your decision quietly rather than preaching about 'facts' and potentially causing upset.
Folks, the Woman has posted on here as she believes her Daughter has been murdered, all she asked for was for users of hibs.net to read & sign the e-petition.
If you prefer not to then that is your choice, the thread imo was not intended for us to be Judge & Jury nor to be open for debate but unfortunately that is the way it appears to be going.
