Pompey deducted nine points by EPL for going into administration. Relegation a certainty now, I would think.

A sad tale. Used to go to Fratton Park in the seventies, and a great bunch of fans, who created a real atmosphere. Feel sorry for them rather than the dodgy dudes in the boardroom.

from the TV reports yesterday as I understand it the HMRC pulled back from a winding up order. Does this mean they are waiving the right to demand a full payout of monies due?

If so looks like setting a bad precedent...

Didn't Italian clubs use to be the richest in Europe? They then blew it maybe there's just a corrupting influence that accompanies the green stuff. :agree:

Why deduct points of teams when they enter administration?
It just makes matters worse for them.:bitchy:

To discourage teams from spending out with there means, why should Pompey stay up while other teams that have tried to run a football club properly go down?

IMO Football Associations should be doing more to stop teams getting to this stage in the first place.
