Does anyone know if Alba will be showing the game next Tuesday?

Looks like BBC Alba at the moment have Dundee v Queen of the South as their lave game next Tuesday.

Not sure if this will change.

Is there not a chance Sky might show both replays assuming they are on different dates?

They are on different dates but they've not announced anything. It might depend on the other match(es) they're showing on 23/3. Maybe the contract only allows for showing 1 replay as well?

Could it be on BBC Scotland?

Doesnt matter for me, I am down in Portsmouth on business with colleagues of mine, so not a chance of finding a pub that would have BBC Scotland and want to show it.

I noticed that the semi-final against Celtic, whether it is Hibs or County, will be played on the Saturday 10th with a 12:15 kick off.

The Scottish Cup contract goes like this:

Sky get one game per round plus one replay per round (they get first pick of lives games as well).

BBC get two matches plus the Final (as the Final has to be shown on terrestrial TV by law) they also get extended highlights of 3 matches per round along with goal clips to the other games usually a Saturday night programme. Sky also have goal clips but neither BBC or Sky have online rights.

It changes next season, more games will be televised in the Scottish Cup. The BBC will get one game per round plus one replay per round but both will be second picks to Sky who get first shout.

BBC will have online rights from next season.

I don't think BBC Alba show any Scottish Cup matches.
I think BBC Scotland will show highlights of the match later that night though?

Would there be demand for a beam back? I bet there are quite a lot of folk that would like to go but can't get or afford time off work. The cameras will be there for the BBC highlights and they'll have a commentator up there for the radio so there shouldn't be much if any additional cost?

Does anyone know who to contact about this? Is it the HI guys?

My birthday was on Saturday and I had possibly one of the worst home games to watch from a Hibs point of view in my memory at least! :grr:

However, no point in allowing that to spoil the rest of the day/night at my age so I didn't!

I'm sure Yogi will get things back on track on Saturday and then Tuesday too! :cool2:

Midday KO at Hamden FFS - ******in joke :grr::grr::grr:

On a Saturday? Sorry but I don't see the problem, except if Ross County win and their fans have got a 3-4 hour drive down.

It's hardly an effort for Hibs supporters, most of whom live in the central belt.

:agree:

TBH on this one I tend to agree with basehibby (and so will Joe Baker II :agree:)

Cup semis/finals are traditionally days out and midday ko's spoil the build up I think no matter where supporters travel from. Yet again the paying/travelling supporter is second to the demands of the tv companies/armchair supporters.

If we get through and take very little support its quite frankly pathetic, theres no reason why you cant take it off your work

I agree with that, but I think alot of people use it as an excuse not to go when in reality people arent going cos they think we'll get pumped. IF we get to the semi i cant see a hibs support of more than 10-12k, and i think the k/o time will be used an excuse.

Are you suggesting that it is easy for everybody to take time of work???????? Thankfully I am already off work that day but it is near impossible to get a Saturday off when I am working.

Agree in general though that the kick off time should make no difference to the attendance.

I'm suggesting you can say now well in advance-or on wednesday- and ther'd be very little amount of people not gettin it off... surely

I'm not so sure about that to be honest I can only go from my experience that unless you are arranging it months in advance then there is no chance of getting a Saturday off. Does not mean you should not try though :greengrin
