View Full Version : '3 men 1 hammer'

Not going to post the video up as too gruesome but did anyone see/hear about this video? 2 men tortured 21 innocent people by battering them to death with a hammer. 1 of the videos leaked online and it is just disturbing. Just watched it just now and absolutely disgustin. How can you do that to another human being? The 2 killers were from Dnipro, as well.

They also turned up at their victims funerals and took pictures of themselves giving the vickies to the graves.

They only ever attacked homeless people and people who had no chance of defending themselves.

They said they done it so that they had stories to tell when they were old. Who would they tell stories like that to? :bitchy:

i don't understand why such videos are allowed on the net and aren't deleted immediately.

also don't understand why people feel the need to spread the word, it's exactly what those sick people actually want (not saying you were DH)

people who watch this and go "euch, terrible, sick" but don't actually regret watching it in the first place are the reason morons like this do stuff like this.

it's in another country so it's none of our concern, it won't affect us and the less said about it the better.

Think this was mentioned on here before briefly, I've seen a few so called 'shock' videos but this one is by far the worst. I only managed a few minutes into it before I had to turn it off. Morbid curiosity I guess.

There were three murderers, not two:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs were a group of three 19 year old boys. Within a span of one month, the teens brutally murdered 21 people. They started off torturing and killing cats and later moved onto killing people. Their first victim was beaten with metal rods, but since it took him a while to die, they used hammers to finish him off. Hammers must have seemed like a decent tool for killing as they’d continue with their killing spree using hammers as the primary object with which to kill. They would video tape their murders on a cell phone camera and would attend the funerals of the people they’d killed.

One of three teens later on quit but the other two continued to murder. The Ukraine police eventually tracked down and detained the teens, which brought immense relief to the people of Dnepropetrovsk and the rest of Ukraine who watched with terror as there was one brutally murdered victim after another. The computer that was seized by the police contained videos of 21 murders and over 300 photographs, including images from funerals as the boys would capture themselves flipping off the graves of their victims.

The Ukraine police did not reveal how they caught the Dnepropetrovsk Maniacs but investigation on motives uncovered the brutal truth - the teens were killing as a hobby. They were murdering people to have a collection of memories when they get old. Each of the boys, who were classmates and come from wealthy families, admitted that they were killing just for fun. They were picking their victims at random - mostly people who looked like they would not fight back.

The names of Dnepropetrovsk killers are:

Igor Suprunyuck
Viktor Sayenko
Alexander Hanzha

Think AH meant it as sarcasm, as reports of these types of crimes often contain references to perpetrators "wealthy/comfortable" upbringings, as if that makes them any less, or indeed more, likely to commit them.

Don't agree with you there ADC.

What human beings are capable of doing to other human beings affects us all no matter where it takes place and ignoring any crime just leads to it becoming acceptable and going unpunished (although obviously unlikely in this extreme example).

You have to be crazy or get off on it to watch the whole video, Can you imagine if there is a delusional 13 year old boy getting excited and prepared to do the exact same,

I had not heard of this, I have just watched it all and it is possibly the most disturbing video I have seen due to the length of time this poor man is tortured and what is done to him.

As ever if you watch these things you do leave it feeling strange, I feel a bit guilty watching it. Hope the murderers get severe tankings nightly in jail.

(1) Such videos maybe vile (I haven't seen it but I can tell from the other posts that it's pretty disgusting) but who governs what is and is not allowed online? If something illegal is posted I'm all for the appropriate authorities taking action but I'm not sure that I agree with a global policing of the internet. I also think it's impossible.

(2) People spread the word because that's what people do. Whether it's a vile video or a funny video or an interesting news article or...or...or, when people find something worthy of discussion, that's what they do.

(3) disagree. the reason people do stuff like this in the first place is because they're sick in the head. It's quite possible that the men in question wanted publicity but not everyone who wants to be (in)famous resorts to killing other people. no, these men are twisted individuals who just happened to want to let the world inside their sick little "secret".

(4) disagree again. if that was the case everyone would limit themselves to reading their local town newspaper.

What these guys did was sick. The fact that they recorded it makes it more disturbing. Thinking about this makes me wonder how many sickos there are out there with "private collections" of homemade material like this....

They gutted a pregnant woman FFS (thankfully that video was not leaked). These are the sorts of criminals who deserve to be executed. But I'm sure there will be some / many who disagree.

I'm not a doctor but when I read about what these young men did I have a really hard time thinking there is anything we can do to rehabilitate them. Not just the actual murders but the stuff that went on before e.g., the torture / killing of cats and dogs.

When you think about it, lots of people won't watch the video. Lots of people might start to watch the video and switch it off because it's so disgusting. Most people will be disgusted just reading about what they did.

These guys made the friggin' video! And who knows if their other unfilmed killings were more / less brutal?

That shows you the gulf between them and regular people. We can't even easily stomach hearing about what they can quite easily stomach doing.

Hainan Hibs

I read about the victim on wiki and it just made me even more angry. The guy had been forced into early retirement through a cancer tumour in his throat. He couldn't speak but was unhappy with not working so took up whatever odd job around the village he could get. The day he got killed he was off to visit his grandchildren.
It just angers me so much that good honest people are put through so much pain and have their lives taken away from them by monsters like the people who carried out the crimes.

It's really hard to control your emotions over the people who carried out these acts. I had started to sway away from the death penalty but what could be done to rehabilitate these people? What positive effects would they ever have on society? Their crimes are horrific and have ended lives and completely ruined the lives of families.

i dunno, i just think that people's interest in stories like this, to the point of actually watching the video, is what keeps tabloids going. "ooh, that's terrible, lock them up, hang 'em" etc, when in reality that's what the *******s who did it in the first place want people to think.

reminds me of the charlie brooker episode when he looks at the way the media dealt with the high school massacres carried out by pupils - every expert says "minimize the media frenzy, don't have it on the front page anywhere other than the local paper or there'll be copy cat cases".

what happens?

every paper and news outlet ignores the advice and everyone hears about it, some ****ed up mentalist kid sees the coverage, decides he wants to be all over the news, and goes for it himself.

i'm not being half as eloquent and precise as charlie brooker is - think it's early in the first series of newswipe, WELL worth a watch (it's on youtube).

I don't deny that these guys were hoping for attention but there's something f'ed up going on for sure. Apart from actually killing people they also ended up in jail which is quite a steep price to pay for fame. What I'm saying is that perhaps these guys might talk about what sort of publicity they will get but you've got to be seriously f'ed up to kill people to get your name in the papers. There are other ways to make a name for yourself. I don't know how big a part the media plays on all of this and I'm not stupid enough to think it doesn't play a part but again, to carry out this sort of crime for publicity indicate, in my opinion, much more troubling issues.

my evaluation of it is that they don't care about the price, as long as it isn't their own death.

they said their motive was to 'have a story to tell' or something - they want to be immortal, they want to be remembered for something, no matter how terrible.

what's better (from their PoV):

"i killed a bunch of people once"

or

"remember that thing everyone heard about, with the people killing folk with hammers and that, everyone was talking about it, the killers are famous and stuff you know? that was me!"

hence why i won't be telling people to have a look at the video just to go "ooh, that's terrible" then get on with my life.

yes, there's a massive problem at the root of this - but the only social aspect of it i can see is the level of attention they can gain.

they're psychos. it's not societies fault they did it, but it's societies fault if they become infamous when that's what they set out to become.

ultimately, by watching it and telling people about it, we're just rubber necking and gossiping for our own interest - it's not as though telling people about this does any good.

I hear what you're saying and I can't really disagree. The more I think about it and read about it the more sick I feel. I know there have been many more worse crimes committed than this but I think what gets me the most is that with those other crimes all I can do is read about it. In this instance I am a couple of mouse clicks away from being able to witness it myself. I won't lie, there's a part of me that wants to start watching the video (I haven't even looked for it or found it by the way) but thankfully there's a much bigger part of me that knows that I won't be any better off for seeing it. I've seen some nasty stuff pictures online before and I know how they have affected me and I see no reason to test myself again. Hell, even just reading the FAQ on rotten.com is enough to make my stomach do flips. I don't think it's even the graphic nature of the material that disgusts me as much as the human suffering although I admit that in some cases there was no suffering at all.

You're right that it's horrible that these guys will, unfortunately, be remembered for all the wrong reasons. And you're right that media coverage will only make it worse but that's human nature for you - Watch what you don't really want to watch until you can't watch it any more.

Another thing that gets me is that thinking about this video actually forces me, maybe others, to actually think about the crime in graphic detail. You read about horrible crimes all the time but, and I'm speaking personally here, I don't always stop to think about what really happened. In this case I HAVE to think about it in order to make the decision to watch or not to watch. I think that if I thought about every crime I read about like that I would be pretty distressed.
