Crouch 'funniest man in UK sport'

England footballer Peter Crouch has been named the funniest man in British sport, topping the poll of the best one liners and comedy football moments of all time.
The 6ft 7in striker won top billing for a cheeky response to the question "What would you be if you weren't a footballer?"
The Spurs targetman replied: "A virgin."

Apologies if that has been posted elsewhere

There's something very different about Jimmy Bullard! It's a pity he's so injury-prone or he'd be right up there.

He needs to be with a better team and a smarter manager.

He was, but for reasons best known to himself he seemed desperate to sign for Hull.

Rather than in a relegation scrap he could have been playing under one of the finest managers in England against one of the biggest clubs in Europe last night.

But i thought there was something 'different' about Jimmy Bullard?

Or is it that he's just a money grabbing parasite like most pro footballers but he's a bit of a laugh so it's ok?

Talking of that - did you hear that David James offered to pay the groundstaff at Portsmouth's training ground out of his own pocket so they weren't paid off? Excellent gesture.

Was indeed a great gesture.

David James is a footballer who is genuinely different, he used to spend his evenings whilst at Man City coaching kids with learning difficulties and special needs.

Didier Drogba and Craig bellamy are another 2 guys who give up a lot of time and money to help others.

A pity that for every guy like them theres plenty keen to act like phannies.

very true, these guys both do loads for charity but it never gets reported in the papers, it's only the negative stuff the press are interested in.
