As far as I can remember, he has reffed us twice this season, with both matches resulting in a 5-1 scoreline for the home team (Hamilton and St J games); hopefully there's a good omen in there!

One of the most aptly named 'referees' ever

I've never really noticed Winter before, that should be a good thing.

Decent enough but defo the white Nade...never far from the centre circle regardless of where the ball is.

Nothing like Nade then really is he? Christians never far from the pie stand regardless of where the ball is.

Didn't do much wrong in either apart from disallow Stokes goal against St.Johnstone, better than most refs would do anyway.:agree:

Hibs record when Brian Winter has been in charge;

2009/10

Hibernian 5-1 Hamilton No red cards
St Johnstone 5-1 Hibernian Colin Nish sent off

2008/09

Hibernian 2-0 Hamilton No red cards

2007/08

Hibernian 3-3 Aberdeen No red cards

2006/07

Hibernian 0-0 Aberdeen No red cards

2005/06

Falkirk 0-2 Hibernian No red cards
Hibernian 1-2 Inverness CT Craig Brewster sent off
Dundee Utd 1-0 Hibernian No red cards
Kilmarnock 2-2 Hibernian No red cards
Hibernian 3-1 Dundee Utd No red cards
Aberdeen 4-0 Hibernian No red cards

Our record when we have had him as referee has not been too bad, with the exception of two absolutely awful results (5-1 v St Johnstone this season and 4-0 v Aberdeen in 05/06).

was the Nish sending off not on the word of the linesman? That rings a bell.

Ref doesn't bother me one way or another. Personally, we should stop making such a big deal about the refs and concentrate on our own game.

FWIW, thought the ref against Killie was sound (anonymous, which was good) but he still got booed!

Let's send him a nice box of chocolates.
