Gotta be FatJimKnew. Tubby manager in a shapeless club anorak is always a look that says 'I have zero style'. Typical Jambo really.

Dunno, Tangoman had a nice dress pair of dress trousers, nice black shiny shoes, shirt, tie and topped it of by wearing a club trackie jacket.....smart:greengrin

It's surprising, seeing as he was out shopping when he got the call that Plan F had been given the bullet.

Maybe he rushed off so quickly that he never got to complete the purchases?

Aye, I can fair see Chipper taking the pre match warm up in a fancy dan suit and a nice shiny pair of brogues! :greengrin

Mcleish usually looked quite trim and sharp in a suit. Mowbray wasn't bad either and Yogi certainly wears a suit well. Blobby on the other hand looked woeful. It's the weight thing. A manager who keeps himself in shape will look good in a suit.

Here's my take on the sartorial qualities (or lack of them) among the current SPL bosses (Dashing Bob Stewart can doubtless provide a more eloquent take on the whole thing?)

Aberdeen: McGhee generally gets pass marks despite being an erse. Dark suit, white shirt, club tie and still just about slim enough to look passable although he carries the suspicion of an expanding waistline.

Celtic: Mowbray has maintained the same straightforward suit, shirt and tie he carried off with a reasonable degree of aplomb at Hibs, but there's something about the Celtic tie that engenders an air of 'cheapness' about the ensemble.

Dundee United: Houston learned his trade under Jefferies and it shows. A grubby looking sweatshirt and an all-round look of a man who puts no thought into the way he dresses for matchday.

Falkirk: Elvis is trying too hard to smarten up and still looks a little startled in his managerial attire. He'll never really shake the caveman aura.

Hamilton: Billy Reid reminds me of a slightly slimmer Jimmy Calderwood. He wears a suit but you get the impression the shirt is about to burst free from the trousers.

Hearts: As previously described, the shapeless anorak with Hearts crest is the ultimate anti-style statement. Jefferies also appears to insist on his henchmen all dressing the same as him.

Hibs: Well-toned and well groomed, Yogi is a manager you're happy to see representing your club.

Kilmarnock: Tango man claims to have lost a bit of weight but he's still a little heavy to look the part in a suit. And you can't help but imagine those armpits are sodden. His head is all wrong too. A severe, bristly crop atop a big jowly face. Terrible.

Motherwell: Craig Brown has always looked like an old sweetie wifie. He'll wear anything that comes with the job.

Rangers: Old school he may be but Walter is always well turned out. Simple but effective.

St Johnstone: I'm not actually sure what McInnes wears in the dugout but he's youthful enough to carry off the tracksuit manager look.

St Mirren: McPherson's usually another suit man. Nothing to complain about here.

Any man who talks through his nose and dresses like a worn out clown is worthy of worst dressed SPL manager crown.

Nothing more tragic than a fat pensioner in a Hearts tracksuit. Except a fat, compulsive lying pensioner in a Hearts tracksuit.

One of my favourite memories of Franck Sauzee is his first game as manager at East End Park.

Out he came looking fetching in a suit with an immaculate designer overcoat and leather gloves. Looked every inch the cultured football star he was. Scurrying along next to him was the Tangoman in a cheap suit and Dunfermilne club jacket of the cheapest polyester. Pretty much summed up just how much more class Franck had than almost anyone else in the SPL in one simple picture.

As Sick Boy says in Porno:

'I saw Franck sauzee coming out of Valvon & Crolla on the walk the other day with a bottle of fine French wine and i thought to myself; this is the kind of class we've lacked at Easter Road for too long.'

Found this after googling Le Dieu! What makes that photo of Sauzee all the more impressive is that this was taken the day he lost his job - well when it had been announced anyway. Even though he'd just been sacked, he was still able to maintain an element of class about him right till the end!
