My 8 year old boy was speechless after that goal yesterday as he thought it was so good.........no wonder.

That actually made yesterdays game look like much more of a spectacle than it was. Confirmed my post match suspicions that Stack never had a save to make.

If that had been Wayne Rooney it would be having a showing every 10 minutes on SSN. :agree:

probs already been asked but is the tv gantry staying in the west? looking like quite a good viewpoint from there!

love the camera viewpoint was always too low in the east i thought

If Mr Calderwood doesn't think that was a free kick for the foul on Galbraith:bitchy:

Quality goal. Great to have someone wearing a green and white shirt with that ability.

The highlights confirmed what I was thinking whilst reading some opinions on players and performance last night. We were not perfect by a long stretch and the highlights show pretty much all the exciting bits but we were not nearly as bad as a lot of people would have you believe.

Nor where Hogg or Stevenson .

As I said no where near perfect but a LOT better, hopefully the win breeds confidence and we can push on from here.

EDIT: Forgot to add: DEEKS

Would make sense. Good vantage point to see all the bouncing in the east. The only bouncing that goes on in the west are the beer bellies or kids on mum or dad's knee and we wouldn't want the viewers to be subjected to either.

Brilliant goal. Noticed also that as soon as Benji struck the penalty he was rooted to the spot - he should always assume it may be saved and be ready for the follow up. Don't know he would have got to it yesterday, but he never gave himself a chance.

Another wonder goal from Derek. :flag: And it was definitely a free-kick.

The pitch looks grim though.

Was included in the highlights on Hibs TV, not sure it actually was offside, looked level to me. Cracking goal it was too.

Looked no to bad from the 5 minutes of highlights:greengrin

Definite free kick for the goal. Don't know what tango man is on about if he has said it wasn't.

I'm away for a Sherman over that free kick:agree:

You are joking. He'd have trouble striking a match without injuring himself or having to have a lie down.

I thought it looked weird having the North Stand to the left of the screen, while the South Stand was to the right. It just didn't seem to be like watching a game from Easter Road.

For all the pitfalls that there was by having the camera on top of the East Stand, you could still say it gave it character and you instanly knew you were watching Hibs at home.

I hope they house the main camera back into the East Stand.

Thats only because thats what ur used to! Much better vantage point from the west imo AND we want to show off our nice shiny new stand to anyone watching on tv so im glad the cameras will be staying in the west. Does feel very strange at the moment watching those highlights 'back to front'

Surely petrie wont want to lose out on the t.v advertising boards no? Theres plenty of space for those boards on a two tier stand. No danger he'll stand for that one, someones heads for the chopping board me thinks, thats the stuff the tash has nightmares over!!?

Yeah especially in the live game v Celtic next month, can see a hastily built scaffold appearing,to maximise the ads.

I have to agree totally with you here tbh...the vantage point from the East gantry being closer to the pitch gave a MUCH better view of the game overall I think. I for one hope it returns to the East when its finished & in place. I still remember the views we got from the top of the old terracing (the scaffold) and although it was higher up and further back it was still a brilliant view. As an East Stander for over 30 years I like my TV highlights to reflect an East Standers perspective and your right, it just seems weird watching the match from the West stand full stop.

If these highlights give a reasonable reflection of the game, we weren't spectacular but still well worth the win. Some lovely work from young Derek, too.

But that pitch is a disgrace. I was told that the same contractors 'look after' our pitch as do the one at Fir Park? If that's right, the board need to waken up and get it sorted. I was told they were watering it on Saturday morning. No wonder it looks like a paddy field.
