According to the Sunday Herald, Jeffries asked for Vlad's permission to play him due to the injury list.

Yes, that's right, the same Jeffries that claimed that it was his own decision not to play him before.

Absolutely farcical situation with Goncalves - if Jumbo Jim had any credibility left after being told to leave him out a few weeks ago (and pretending it was his decision), he has completely lost it now.

He could have perhaps retained a bit of dignity by pretending to stick to his principles, and not playing him no matter what, but a few injuries hit and he's shown up as a desperate man.

Lucky for him that Goncalves appears to be more professional and behave with more dignity that the entire HMFC management and ownership.

This is exactly the reason why FJK should not have came out and so publicly performed fellatio on Romanov in his 1st week in the job.

"Goncalves will never play unless he signs a new deal and it's my idea by the way" leaves no room for manouevre (sp).

Decimated by injury he then has to gorge on the old humble pie "ehmmmmm, alright he can play, that's my idea as well by the way".

Tool.

FatJimKnew alright......

"Jim Jefferies, the Heart of Midlothian manager, admitted last night that he had to call in his sporting director, who has a hotline to Vladimir Romanov, the club’s major shareholder, for his blessing to a request that José Goncalves be allowed to play against Dundee United at Tannadice yesterday.

With 13 players unavailable through injury or suspension, Jefferies, reported as having said he would not play the Portuguese defender unless he agreed to sign a new contract, pleaded with Alexandr Metlitski for the green light to field Goncalves."

FJK told us a few weeks ago that it was "his decision" not to play Jose after he refused to sign the new contract. :hide: :fibber:

That's the problem with lying - once you get on that rollercoaster, you have to tell another lie to try and uphold the previous one and it goes on and on until you forget which lie was told to which person, and it's impossible to get off the joyride.

Bet FJK loves working for Vlad. :faf:

Jeffries has no scruples, no self respect, no ba!!s and sooner rather than later no job.
