My main bets for the festival are:

Kauto Star
Master Minded
Big Buck's
Dunguib

@ 10/1

Denman
Master Minded
Big Buck's
Dunguib

@ 22/1

I'll be pouring into a reverse forecast in the Neptune as well with Rite of Passage and Peddler's cross.

Picking 1 winner at Cheltenham is hard enough, nevermind a 4-fold !!!!!

Get your money back on Khber Kim !?!

True, but I was expecting Dunguib to stroll home and Big Buck's to let me down.

I don't fancy Khyber Kim much. It's between Go Native or Zaynar for me in the CH.

Sizing Europe just gave me a big hand, and if The Package wins the next, I should be up for the day.

Not a great ride from Murphy there. He should have made the move 50 yards earlier.

Still, I'm good for two lines on my placepot just now.

Ran a decent race, beaten by better horse on the day. Binocular is one of my favourite horses as well but presumed with the stop/start prep it had that it would struggle to get up the hill which it has done previously. I would not be best pleased if i had backed The Package, should have won with much in hand.

I was planning on going to the Cheltenham Festival. I heard it's a bit like Glastonbury, but with less horse tranquilizers.

I went last year and considered it again this year, but I couldn't afford it in the end. It's an absolutely cracking laugh. I shall try to be there for all 4 days next year.

What kind of cost are you looking at for that?

It depends how much you're looking to gamble. I only went for the first two days last year and probably went through the best part of £2-300, but that was with a big first day which almost paid for all of my bets for the whole festival. It certainly wasn't dirt cheap though.

I was more thinking about the expense of tickets to get in, accomodation etc. My mate's stag do will be around this time next year and I was thinking of offering thisas a suggestion.

The accomodation was pretty steep, but the tickets weren't too bad at all. You can stay in Ross-on-Wye or Gloucester though which should get the cost down.

Can I ask a question:

Why is it that all this week we have had to miss the last 1 or 2 races because channel 4 continues to show this piss poor game show that's well past its sell-by-date?

It's been like that the last few years - C4 only get 3 or 4 of the races and you've got to watch the satellite channel for the other races.

Had a bet on just about every race this week but finally got bailed out in the final race today which, as already commented on, I couldn't watch on telly, so I only found out when I logged into my account later. Nice wee bonus though.
