How long have we had this problem? A succession of managers have filled our team with wee players and we have always struggled on heavy pitches as a result. For years I've watched the teams coming out the tunnel and despaired at our lack of stature compared with other sides (particularly Hearts). It's time Yogi addressed this problem and let's hope we start to bring in taller, more athletic players. We're hardly going to get Brazilians but a little skill added to height would certainly see us coping better with the winter pitches in Scotland.

Riordan, for one, is too easily muscled off a ball and a little upper-body gym work wouldn't go amiss.

I think having the east demolished could actually help our end of season campaign. It will allow much more sunlight into the ground which can only help the pitch.

Also by having supporters at both ends, could help with putting pressure on their defense all game.
