The words no and danger come to mind

:greengrin

That is one good reason for not wanting England to host the WC in 2018 - the ticket prices would be extortionate. The prices for the WC in Germany were quite reasonable, but the English would think nothing of charging 100+ for "cheap" seats at WC games.

I don't think they'd be cheap in Europe. I'm pretty sure there were plenty complaints re cost in Germany in 2006

Brazil have played a few friendlies at the Emirates before. Just a chance for Europe-based Brazilians to go along and watch them I suppose

The Irish really are the just thieves of International football. If the player isn't nailed down they'll take him.Best is English and found a grandparent.

I do wonder what their squad would look like if they were only allowed to pick Irishman

The Scots are no averse to selecting the odd English player.

Alot of it is to do with the problems they had getting Brazil players from European leagues to be let out by their clubs to play friendlies at home.

I'm not saying I agree with it. It should be parental and birth IMO. I agree with the concept of the schooling rule but I'd replace it with 15 yrs residency.

I know Scotland do it but the Rep are unbelievable

I know they are. The Germans are brilliant at it also. However I really don't think it's something that any country should be able to do
