But for how long?

0.09% away from a mandatory takeover.

Yes, if they can stay that way.

IMHO, the leveraged buyout, ala ManU and Liverpool, is a really big danger to football and should be outlawed.

there was a boy on the radio this morning - a professor of economics at cass business school - and he said that one simple change to the rules would completely change the way clubs run themselves. Currently if a club goes into administration the players and other clubs get anything owed to them paid first before any other creditor, which is unique apparently in every other business all creditors are equal.

Anyway the prof said that this means that clubs don't care if other clubs blow up cause they'll get their money anyway. However if that rule was changed, it would completely change the way players and clubs would look at how each other's businesses when either signing for, or selling to them - as they would be concerned that they might not get their money.

Seemed like it was almost too simple to be true, but it does kind of make sense.
