SSN reporting that DM to be loaned out after 10 months out injured. Nothing on BC website.

Obviously all would take him back, however temporary, wouldn't we?

I'm sure like many Hibs fans, I've always kept an eye out for Murph at Brum and it is a real shame how things have turned out for him.

Class player, great guy.

:agree: He struck me as a quiet, all round good pro and good guy. Good enough to play in the premiership with injury fortune IMO.

He attended our supporters club annual dance, after winning our player of the year award in 2007; top bloke as well as being a great player.

Pity he's been blighted by injury, as I really think he could hold his own in the Premiership when fit.

SNS reporting that possibility of David Murphy going out on loan.

Did Yogi get on well with Big Eck?

I don't think SPL teams are allowed to sign players on loan outwith the transfer window. Only Championship teams can.

As has been pointed out, we might all like to take him but we can't. He'll go to the Championship where clubs can still sign a certain number of loan players outwith the transfer window.

Much as I loved DM as a Hibs player I remember checking the BC forums after he joined and they were completely slating him -especially his lack of pace. A good Championship player, a great Hibs player, but not a Premiership player IMHO.

He was !
Pre season game IIRC.

I was not impressed in the slightest.
I'm talking about the very first game he played for Hibs.

What you doing on the bounce anyway ? Thought you were feard of that place :greengrin

I do remember his first few performances being guff, lack of pace was noticeable.

Obviously don't have to mention the rest of his Hibs career, some fantastic performances and always putting in 100%. Mr Dependable with performances and his first touch was sublime.

Good luck Murphy:agree:

Friendly against Middlesboro? Seem to remember fans saying he looked the part.

I'm sure it was the inter toto game against vetra velnius (sp) and if I'm right he had a very impressive first half. I have a really bad memory for stats, goals, players etc but this one sticks in my mind as I was involved with HI at the time and recall saying during the broadcast that I sincerely hoped TM was signing him up during half-time.

Probably a complete Yorkie moment on my part but that's how I like to remember it :greengrin

Maybe Cliff of Jonnyboy can put me right :dizzy:
