I've had a wee bit of a holiday from .net since last Wednesday but you'll be pleased to know that I used the time wisely to work out how we are going to get back to winning ways.

1. Stack as first choice.

Smith has done nothing wrong at all, but our good run was with Stack, he's a mentally strong character and he gives it tight to our defenders and any opposing player who dares to come near him. He has the big game, big club experience and he's the sort of player we need when the going gets tough.

2. Spoonaldo at RB

We still need an RB as Wothers isn't one but again, he was instrumental in our good run and consistency is important so long as form isn't plummeting. Thicot in, if it is.

3. Hogg/Bamba/Murray

That's the back line. Stack will sort Bamba out.

4. Miller/McBride NOT Miller/Rankin

McBride empowers Miller. Rankin empowers nothing. We need Miller, therefore we need McBride. When there's no McBride, Bamba in and Hanlon takes his place at the back. No need/use for Rankin.

5. Zoumer/Deek

The match winners/suppliers need to be there every week. Although Deek needs some sprint coaching. Right now he looks like he could run a bath and come in second.

6. Stokes and a big-ish fast lad.

Stokes is the threat and someone else needs to play in the hole. Benji's not the answer, Nish is not the answer. Gow might be the answer.

Stevenson, Cregg, Rankin and Nish should not be in the first team, when the above are fit to play.

On this basis, we'll see a win on Saturday and only suffer two further defeats all season.
