It would be sad if we weren't able to get back on track before we play Fat:fibber:Jeff's mob.

Especially seeing as our track record there is something like:

Hearts doing well, Hibs doing badly: Hearts win.
Hearts doing well, Hibs doing well: Hearts win.
Hearts doing badly, Hibs doing badly: Hearts win.
Hearts doing badly, Hibs doing well: Draw.

Apart from their win in the Mickey Mouse cup, we're unbeaten in 6 against them.

They still harbour hopes of getting third place

"Chaps - Let's not get carried away about ending our run of four straight defeats, without a goal scored, against the team which will most probably be playing 1st division football next season. If Hibs lose today and we manage a win tomorrow, then things look a little better. We then go to Pittodrie, Tannadice and Fir Park. 6 points out of those three would be groovy, if unlikely, while Hibs have two home games in that period against St. Johnstone and Kilmarnock respectively. Should Hibs come out of these two with less than six points, in tandem with the above scenarios unfolding, then the derby at Tynecastle one month from today takes on a whole new significance. There is a lot that can go right or wrong between now and then. The main thing for us is to hope for 8 or 9 points from our next four games. Achieve that and we can still be in the hunt come derby day, as Hibs will drop points somewhere."

Taken from a thread about Lee Wallace rallying call to 'target Hibs' and challenge for 3rd place.

Yes, we have the ability to beat them. Doubt we will though. I'll say 1-1
