More evidence tonight (not that we needed it) that when Kevin McBride is out we aren't the same team. He protects our defence and links up play with our attacking players.

Not playing him from the start at Ibrox was inexplicable.

We need him back pronto.

Agree. However, KM is not a world beater and I would expect Hughes to have already sufficiently developed another player to slot into the KM role as and when KM is injured.

He was pash 1st half last week against Aberdeen.

Another knee-jerk post then. :agree:

McBride hasn't started for a losing Hibs team since August.

Have posted several times this season that I feel that McBride is very very important to us and without him we do struggle. Feel if he is not available we need someone to replace him . Unfortunately the to best candidates are IMHO Murray and Bamba. As we seem to be struggling for both full back positions we cannot really move either player. I like Stevenson but he is another small player and we already utilise too many small players and McCann seems to have a problem with injury (like McBride) so we need to find another candidate beacause Miller and Rankine find it hard to cope without Kevin. Any suggestions?????????????:dizzy::dunno:

Stevenson or Thicot should be taking his role over when KM is out. I don't understand why they didn't tonight.

So he gets the credit for a tremendous fightback last week?

Our league form suffers heavily when McBride is missing

With McBride Starting: 16 Games - 9 Wins - 5 Draws - 2 Losses
56% win rate
88% unbeaten

Those games include Rangers, Celtic and Hearts away all unbeaten.

Team Minus McBride : 9 Games - 3 wins - 2 Draws - 4 Losses
33% win rate
56% unbeaten

And? One average performance over the course of the season doesn't detract from the fact that when he's in the team we do much better.
