I was in the Central Bar in Bowhill last week. Anyway they are advertising a Valentine's dinner comprising:

A three course meal.
A welcome drink.
Live entertainment.

All for the princely sum of £5!!!!! Two questions: is there any better bargain in Scotland; how can they do it for the price?

For Scotland read the world. Just what every girl wants to make her Valentine's Day feel special.

Eh...where exactly is Bowhill?

It is a banana republic attached to Cardenden. Alight at Cardenden Station and look for a man wearing a t-shirt with "I shot JR" on it. He'll keep you (and the lucky lady) right.

Still trying to get my head around what a place 'attached' to Cardenden might be like. :faf:

The pub sells pints of "light" and Tartan Special. Are you any further forward?

There is a pub at Eglinton Toll in Glasgow that my bus to work goes past called the Star bar and it offers a 3 course lunch for £2.50. Every day i wonder what it consists of but i will probably never go in due to fear of being stabbed or puked on by one of the regulars!
