Better Hibs team tomorrow, you'd imagine it's a worse Montrose team....:hmmm:

Aye but we no longer have the deadly Stephen Dobbie so I'd be happy with a draw :greengrin

Jeezo, was that six and a bit years ago? We should have tried harder to keep Daniel Andersson. Hard to think that at one point, he was out third choice keeper.:dunno:

I could see this being a high-scoring event, wouldnt mind seeing a few banged in by deeko and stokesy to, will be interesting to see where Gow plays?

Though i would happily take a 1-0 win in the dying minutes of injury time, after all its the win that counts! No extra points for scoring 9 or 1, its all about getting to the next round and with our history in this competion thats all i want.

There is no danger we will lost tommorow, Montrose are gash have they not won only one game this season or something like that? Or am i just tempting fate by saying we will cruise it?

One of the few home games I missed, typical.

Montrose were easily the worst team I've ever seen at Easter Road. I remember some goals were literally a massive punt up the park, straight to Dobbie or whoever, who then ran through unchallenged, and scored! :greengrin

My mate played for Montrose that night - he said Hibs were awesome. Best he'd seen with 3 or 4 players running past him at a time :greengrin

My mate Jamie Watt also played in that game (think he came off the bench) and he said the same although I think he used the word frightening.

Didn't read the article earlier but this must be the goal I remember! :greengrin

Hibs went Route One for the ninth, goalkeeper Daniel Andersson launching a massive clearance downfield for Scott Brown to race in and apply the necessary finish.

That was my 23rd birthday, I remember I went out for a meal with my parents and Girlfriend, it was only after the meal that we checked the scores and found out the result. Couldnt believe it.

Still remains the highest scoring Hibs game in my lifetime (I believe).

With the 7-0 against Livi being the highest I have attended.

I actually lost count at that game, I went home thinking it was 8-0

Ah those days without scoreboards, I often missed goals during the second half because of queues for the pies.

Went home thinking we won 1-0 to find we got beat

Your memory is a scary place if you confused Scott Brown with Stephen Dobbie :greengrin

This always brings a smile to my face as Montrose are 16 miles up the coast form Arbroath.

Still have the newspaper (somewhere) to remember the result by. Doubt I'll see a 9-0 again or anytime soon from Hibs.

Dinaburg (5-0 intertoto cup ~2005) were worse imo. They were somewhere between Montrose and the team that I play with in the Edinburgh Uni Intra-Mural Wednesday leagues.
