Why was it called the Drybrough Cup?

Was that a sponsor?

It died a death because the paying public were,nt interested.
The last final attracted 5000 fans in 1980 at Hampden.

According to Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drybrough_Cup Celtic were one of the best performers because they appeared in 5 of the 6 finals, winning it once. It wasn't Aberdeen or Hibs who won it twice, or Eddie Turnbull, manager who won it 3 times.

I thought it was a good wee pre season tournament, with a line right across the 18 yard line right to the touch line, you couldn't be offside until you were past that line.
