We have decided to resurrect a popular feature on Hibs.net for 2010, namely the Player of the Month poll. These will be held every month through this year (except June when we won't have any games :greengrin), culminating in us awarding a Player of the Year for 2010 at the end of January, where all votes given in the Player of the Month polls will be added up to give us a winner. Each player that takes part in a game that month will be included, and it will be down to you to decide who you think is most deserving for their contribution in the matches that are included in that poll.

This month's games were:

Hertz (H) 1-1
Irvine Meadow (H) 3-0
Dundee Utd (A) 0-1
Hamilton Accies (H) 5-1
Celtic (A) 2-1
St Mirren (H) 2-1

So vote away, and let's see who Hibs.net viewers thought was our best player in those six fixtures!

Miller for me. Probably only on the last 3 games. Utd and meadow games I can't think of anyone who got pass marks!

Stokes for me

Followed by miller and a credible mention for smith in goals

He has been rock solid. 'duck' and 'water' spring to mind.

Where's the "Own Goal" option?

Miller shades it from Stokes for me. Just.

Miller has played particularly well in 3 games and scored 1 goal. Stokes has scored in 3 games.

Graeme Smith would be close too.

Murray deserves a mention as does Hogg and Wotherspoon.

Has to be SMITH otherwise we would have lost the last few games

Had to be Smith for me this month.

If for nothing else, for the Dundee United game!

Stokes for me.

Miller has been superb, but for his goals, Stokes is the man :agree:

i went for hogg, i know its not going to be the poplar choice however given the critiscm he has recieved lately i felt this month he's gone from strength to strength. i also think hanlon has done very well this month, coping well out left and even better when he moved into the middle

Miller just edges it for me - but isn't it great to have an abundance of choices?

I remember we stuck up a poll at this time last year - it wasn't received very well :greengrin

Miller by a mile, been the best player almost every game since he joined IMO.

Obviously the OP should read December, not January!

I'm just pleased that we have at least 3 genuine candidates for this award! And not because anyone else was pish either!

So difficult to choose, its great to have a choice of players who have been genuinely quality though!

Went for Stokes just because of his goals; got us a point against Hearts and got us back in the game against Celtic, as well as getting a couple against Hamilton.

Miller and Smith are equal with Stokes imo, but had to choose one.
