Does Anybody happen to know what Pub in Edinburgh is part of the project to show football in 3d. I read on the Sky website that there is a pub in Edinburgh that has been fitted out with the special 3d televisions. Any help would be appreciated.

read that too.... id imagine it will be somewhere like sportsters.

it must be an invite only/guestlist type of thing as you'd have definately got the name of the pub showing it if not.

they have said the only reason that they haven't named the pubs is so they dont cause a stampede of people going there. I did think maybe Standing order .

:agree: Nothing worse than a pub running out of glasses.

What about Three Sisters pub in Lawnmarket. Usually good for sport with big screens etc....

I really find 3D just annoying. Avatar 3D was OK for about 30 minutes, then it was just irritating and added nothing to the experience.

The format takes away more than it adds. Keep it away from football, who wants to see the OF fans in 3D.

Now that would be scary .....:greengrin

SKY HD 3D will be available this year but will only work in the house if you have a 3D ready telly which will cost a cool 4k.

I think watching a game in 3D could be very interesting if Avatar is anything to go by

you could do that by actually going to the match, no?

3D TV - a solution looking for a problem, IMHO.

I don't really see this working in the pub. Who wants to wear those daft glasses in the pub?

I could see it working in the cinema though. The world cup final in 3d on the big screen could be pretty cool.

For the last England game cinemas down south showed the game so making it 3D is the next step.

You gonna go to every game ever played on TV like. The last time I checked I didnt have a season ticket for the Emirates :confused:

A solution looking for a problem?????????????? Surely technology moving on rather than it being a problem

Call me a grumpy old bugger but in 5 years time 3D television will be sitting on the scrapheap next to "Video telephony", WAP and "Virtual reality".

It's not

It's by invitation only, so there's not much point in trying to find out where it is because you won't get in anyway.
