So what you thinking then? There is no reason why we cant get all 3 points but a draw be a good result. Celtic wernt outstanding today and looked really shaky when StJohnstone attacked them in the first half. If we go there with the attacking mind that we did yesterday and push at them for 90minutes i have full faith we will win but its never that easy is it?

I'll say 2-2:wink:

Hibs to do well, but whoever is reffing the game, wont be happy for the title race to be over in January. So a penalty and probably a sending off, to swing the game in the smellies favour. And Jack wont see anything wrong, as thats the norm against the smaller clubs.

Pretty much the story of today, a sending off then suddenly they become rampant and score 4......

I think they are there for the taking, no reason why we can't get a result on Wednesday, if we go there with the right attitude and endeavour

A Celtic win unfortunately, any Hibs advantage will be cancelled out by the Referee through a dodgy decision. Didn't want to sound yammish but today is evidence of what happens if you have the audacity to take the lead against the Old Firm.

As long as Hibs go there and attack and give Celtic hell for 90 minutes I'll be happy.

Sadly have to agree with this. There is no way in Hell that any ref is going to let us get out of PH with any points while the smellies are still chasing the Huns. Maybe we could just concede the match now and save our legs, injuries and suspensions for the Sat match. Or Yogi could play our under 19s :greengrin

A Hibs performance like yesterday and we have a great chance of getting something.

A Hibs performance like the one at Tannadice and it will be a very long night.

We must have a great workrate on Wednesday, play with a high tempo and move the ball with a bit of pace. If we do that and the likes of Stokes and Riordan are on fire then there's no reason why we can't get something.

They will most likely be missing all the players (10?) who were out today and also Loovens will probably be out as well so we need to try and take advantage of that.

Hibs to be looking good, possibly going 1 up before the referee steps in.

Cue a sending off, penalty for celtc, the denial of a stonewaller for Hibs, plenty added time at the end of each half if celtc are toiling, a dodgy goal that was at least 2 yards offside, every 50/50 decision going to celtc, Yogi being sent to the stand, Smith being sent off after we have used all 3 subs so we can't bring on a sub keeper and so on and so forth.

It will finish with a narrow celtc win.

I really don't think I can predict this one.

We have strikers that can be very clinical.

Celtic have strikers that will score 1 goal in 10 shots on goal... but with 50 shots in a game.

It should be a mouth watering match in any case. :agree:

As much as I'd like to see a Hibs win, I'm not confident.

As a matter of interest, how many games have we won this season against teams who were in the top six (at the beginning of the game)?

Am I right in thinking that it's 1992 since we last were awarded a penalty kick against the other half of the Establishment:wink: at Parkhead?

Not confident. 2-1 Celtic probably.

Hibs will probably have a sending off, a goal disallowed, a player punched in the penalty box and Celtic's winner will be yards offside.

I honestly can't remember Hibs having a penalty at Parkhead.

I remember a couple at Ibrox, including one Darren jackson blasted into the stratosphere. Surely i'm wrong though as Mr Regan ensures us the SFA conspiracy is againt Sellick.

1992 a 3-2 win. We were in purple. Jackson's penalty was saved by Gordon Marshall and Gareth Evans rammed home the rebound.

Anything could happen but I'll go for 2-0 to the Circles.

I think we might get a draw - 1-1, but I'm a great believer in trends being broken and, not having beaten Rangers , Celtic or D. Utd this season might set the scene for an upset on Wednesday. I also fancy Utd. and the Jambos to drop points in their games.

A draw would be a good result but you know you never go to Celtic Park confident of coming away with something. Or maybe I should ask has anyone ever been confident of going to Celtic Park and coming away with a point, two or three, and it has actually happened?

We r Hibernian FC we hat jam tarts and we hate Dundee n we will fight wherever we may be for we are the mental HFC. Just had to get that of my chest. If we try to hard on Wed we will probably have someone sent of and we don't want that. Hearts did well against Gers, man sent off, St Johnstone go 1 up against Celts, man sent off, we know the drill!

Dont think we'll get anything out of the game, be massively surprised if we dont concede a penalty and/or a red card.

We're more than capable but just cant see it.

I see us getting nothing

If we get a performance similar to Saturday's and the played at the same tempo, then the result would almost be secondary. Need to check a midweek coupon for odds on Hibs and St Johnstone double.

We've a lot of players missing, but the only real miss in N'Guemo, although Jueng looked very good on his debut - if he'd been fit then I'd have been confident.

Big Glenda is injured, so it will be 2 from Hooivfeld (not match fit), Thomson (an untested 18 year old - but who looks as if he knows the basics, shich is more than can be said for Caldwell, McManus or GLenda) or the enigma that is Daren O'Dea.

We also have no left back, Fox is injured and about to be sold. Not sure if Naylor is fit, but looks like it'll be Caddis (a RIght Back) at LB.

Looking forward to this. 2-2 draw for me.

Don't see how his time with Falkirk would be relevant. He's now managing a better club with much better players. In the games he's played against the OF with Hibs we've had two good performances (Celtic at home and Rangers away) out of 3, probably our best form against them since Tony Mowbray. I predict a draw and a good Hibs performance :agree:

I predict that the Celtc manager won't even mention us by name, let alone say anything respectful about us.

I would love Hibs to celebrate a win with a huddle, though. A winner in the 90th minute, too, to make sure the stands are full when it happens.

That would be so sweet.
