Rankin only gets a game to show the rest of the team what Work Ethic is all about. Limited as he is in so many areas he played his bloody heart out on Saturday, got stuck in, made a few saving tackles (one after a 50yard run back to his own box).
No surprise that he was one of the 3 names in the frame for club captain this season and why Yogi picks him so often
He's not as good a midfielder as we would like to have but as long the manager selects him and he shows the character he did against the Arabs - no way any Hibs fan should be screaming abuse at him
That turd that abused Nish for nae reason on Saturday also had a few loud abusive shouts at Rankin. I'd rather leave JR on the park and the idiot outside the ground
