Cheers to those who gave me some advice for the charity auction I'm holding on 26th March.

Trying to get 3 speakers for the night, but having some difficulty getting contact details. Can anyone help, even send me a pm?

Checked out Dick Campbell's singing on YouTube, maybe no the best idea getting him up to Woodburn club after all...:greengrin

Cheers guys, some names to get me going!

Got a pm about a website http://www.tmcentertainment.co.uk/speaker-index.html?speakertypeid=22&parentcat=14, and have given them a call too. The guy there recommeded Eric Davidson too, and suggested John Rowbotham and Grant Stott as well.

Will get calling around and see what sort of prices I'm quoted. Once I have got bookings, I'll post details on again in case any of you are interested in coming along.

Bob Valentine was excellent - the best I ever heard.

Tony Higgins, Wullie Young were good as well.

Was at one with Derek Parlane - he was that bad even the huns hated him.

George McNeill is very good. I'm not sure if he's still on "the circuit" though.

Worst two I have ever seen were Ian St John (many moons ago) and Jeff Winter..

Jeff Winter had brought a big holdall of his newly released autobiography and was selling em at face value after his speech..!!

John Gaghan was quite good... as was big Jim Leishman.

He's brilliant.

We've booked him for stuff through work before and he had the place in stitches.

Ex ref John Rowbotham is really good as is Jim Leishman.

Alan Rough is also pretty funny.

Wouldn't be too put off Dick Campbell because of the Derrys' walls video, seen him twice at after dinner speaking and he was very good both times. He's also usually pretty good at helping out if you have an auction or raffle on the go as well.

Was at Tynecastle's Brunch not too long ago. John Rowbotham(sp?) ex-ref was the speaker. Good patter and stories!

George McNeill is very good. I'm not sure if he's still on "the circuit" though.

George did speaking for our Dinner Dance in 2008, I believe he's still very active on the circuit. He is very good.

We have Willie Young this year, which I am very much looking forward to.
