Released by mutual consent so he can find a new club.

As stated, on SSN just now, he's had his contract ended by mutual consent, that means no fee to another club, just wages and signing on fee to agree, Hibs were also mentioned at the time.

Pretty much what yogi has said thusfar in the media has been true.
He stated in the summer and the other week that Anderson is not a target.

He's in the S(t)un! saying he spoke to Yogi - S(t)un points out this is despite Yogi's denials - and he was never on to join us. Likely to go to the Champonship IMHO
Seem to remember reading years ago that "Russell" wasn't his actual christian name.
His real christian name (presumably a local Aberdeen name? Gaelic?) rhymed with an embarrassing rude word!! So he changed it.
:dunno:
I know what his 'supposed' real name is but I'm not saying in case I am way off the mark and remembering a total wind up!!
Anyone substantiate this?

I know he said he wants to stay in England but to end up at a League 1 club...
Maybe better pay but surely the likes of Hibs or Aberdeen would have possibly offered him a bit more in terms of what he could achieve in the latter years of his career?

Sooner than that maybe. If Cluff gets punted in the next few weeks and the new manager doesn't rate him.
