Watching the Deportivo Valencia game, been really good, Zigic got 2 early goals before Deportivo got a goal right after HT.

The first leg was 2-1 Deportivo so could go to penalties if it stays the same, cant see it though, Deportivo just had another great chance.

Yeah has been a really good game. Deportivo should have killed the game off, was a terrible miss!

Dont understand why he waited so long to put Villa on.

Looks like United have regained a bit of morale post 7-1 Ibrox humping. They could actually go above us on Saturday, although we'd still have a game in hand on them. I know it would be a great game to win, but given our own current mediocre form a draw would do me.

They are absolutely awful and will struggle to make top 6 if they play like this every week

I see what you mean, so we stay ahead of them and all that. As long as the players aren't thinking the same thing.

2-1 to Reading

Onceinawhile
13-01-2010, 09:57 PM
taken from the bbc

If you want drama, you've come to the right place. The ball breaks somewhat fortunately for Shane Long in the Liverpool area and Yossi Benayoun kicks the Irishman's ankles accidentally. It's a stonewall penalty, and no-one in the world can complain about that. Gylfi Sigurdsson steps up and nonchalantly sends Diego Cavalieri the wrong way.

I didn't think it was soft - looked a stonewaller on 1st viewing then the replays confirmed it.

Most biased pundit since the creation of punditry.

I thought he was good during the UEFA cup games I've heard him commentate on - don't think I've heard him do a Liverpool game before. ITV shouldn't let him do those games - he's an absolute nightmare!

When I predicted Liverpool would struggle this year back in the summer, I never thought they'd be quite as bad.

Wonder if they miss out on Europe altogether what will happen to their finances? Surely Benitez would be binned, Torres sold to settle the loss of income and no doubt Gerrard rediscovering his desire to head for the exit door...

With Man City and Villa starting to look like serious top 4 contenders and Liverpools apparent lack of cash and awful form, they could be in for a rough few years.
