Don't know if this has been posted before, but this quiz is worth a timewaste. The website sporcle has taken over my life a bit too much recently.

Got to 98 and ran out of time.

There are some beauties in there mind you - one of which I cant remember ever being a player for us but I assume we were short of real players.

i was trying not to give any of the answers, it would be impossible to get them all.
No cheating anyone and see who can get the most.

If it's the one i think you mean i'm sure he played in a CIS cup tie against Brechin away not long after Tony Mowbray took over.

Amazing how you can remember so many obscure stinkers from 8/9 years back and forget so many memorable, or even current names.

I got a paltry 61! :greengrin

As has been said, its amazing who we remember, but forget some of our all time greats!
I reckon I would of got at least another 10 if I knew how to spell them. I also wasted the first 5 minutes typing in the first names, which isn't necessary! :faf:

Dietrich played one game in season 98-99 (Div 1)

Henry played 6 games in season 99-00 but IIRC they were all before the turn of the year.

Got 91. Was trying so hard for the early players from the decade that I think I only missed 2 before 2005 and some absolute sitters from the more recent scheme of things.

Did Venus ever actually play for us?

Only 81, but got 3 more that I couldn't spell and had it in my head (don't know why) that it was only up to the end of last season, so didn't name anyone who debuted under Yogi. I'm claiming a moral 90ish :greengrin

Who is Steven Thomson?

That's based on a soccerbase ****up. One of Katie's (http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=36558) first games was a 0-1 home defeat by the Huns in 2003/04 (http://www.soccerbase.com/results3.sd?gameid=408250). For some reason soccerbase decided that a "Steven" Thomson (http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=35841) was playing instead.

Did Venus ever actually play for us?

Yes, in a league cup game against Albion Rovers (http://www.soccerbase.com/results3.sd?gameid=431298).

I started and only got a minute done, before I noticed my boss coming across the room, so I had to close it. I'll give it a shot later.

Considering all the players that have played for us in the past 10 years, I have no idea why Earl Jean was the first name that I typed in.
