Jesus Christ, has anyone else seen this?
Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=400786285721&ref=nf)
Some the comments are hilarious (unfortunately they're being serious, though).
The scary thing is the amount members it has.
Whatever you think of the planned march by Islam4UK, this isn't the way to protest against it.

You do realise that the vast majority of people talk **** behind a computer and that pretty much none of them would turn up to any kind of protest.

'I'm not racist, if I was I wouldn't support a football team with a coloured in it and I wouldn't eat from pizza shops etc, etc'

Is it time that we finally killed off all of the working classes?

What's the point in them?

The whole simperng Wooton Bassett media-led cult is reactionary, flat-Earth, Middle-England, Little-Britain ugliness at its worst and just about as obnoxious and pathetic as anything the Islamic extremists can throw up. They completely deserve each other.

Its a good read to be honest. Shows what we're dealing with. Your average poster (Chelsea fan Paul Done for example) starts off trying to be reasonable, with regurgitated Daily Mail-style editorials, progresses on to seemingly 'concerned middle englander' type stuff, then after a few posts and growing confidence the rants about ragheads, dirty race, and ****ing off back to your own country start.

Its nothing to do with working-class alienation, fear of terrorism or anything else. Just racists who dont like pakis but call them muslims now instead.

The majority of people who join "groups" on Facebook don't even read any of the info about them. They see the name of the group, think to themselves "that sounds good" and join it.

Its quite sad actually.

I sort of agree with this.

Wooton Bassett is hardly a historical monument to the British armed forces. it's only been used for repatriation ceremonies in the last decade....and is silmply a middle class leafy village.

It's not the cenotaph and doesn't deserve the attention given to it by both sides of the argument.

Chaudry isn't right in the head and shouldn't be given the oxygen that a reaction would bring.

If wooton basset is a pro army/war/troops town, it seems the ideal place for an anti war protest.

---------- Post added at 08:37 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:36 AM ----------

who is wooton basset anyway?

Wooton bassett is a nice place, people are really friendly.

I know this as my uncle lived there for 30 years & I enjoyed many a good summers there

Its a shame the level of media coverage it gets, but should the people of wooton bassett get slated due to some idiots , the raf base near by is where the soldiers who are fighting in a war that no one agree's with come to rest. I certainly do not agree with this evil fella's idea of a protest.

IMHO i think he should be deported, dont need it in "Middle earth / England"

Funny how some folk knock that part of the country but have probably never even been. :grr:

its not pro war/army its just where the bodies get repatriated, just a town that the bodies pass on the way from a nearby RAF airport (Brize Norton?), and the local residents mark the bodies passing with a moments silence.

nothing pro or anti war about that necessarily, just mere courtesy/ respect. if you think about it lots of people go quiet when any kind of hearse crosses their path - my mum still crosses herself when she sees one.

to underline this misrepresentation i know that the local paper down there (WB is near Swindon, so Swindons local rag) ran a story on a handful of muslim members of the Swindon Stop the War group who were amongst member of public in WB silently, discreetly paying their respects as one of the courteges passed recently. obviously this will get less coverage than Choudary's act of bluster and bull**** and doesn't really fit with the narrative of the day, but unlike Choudary, they actually made it to WB.

RAF Lyneham mate is near Swindon (Wiltshere)
Brize Norton is just outside Carterton (Oxfordshire)
