Good news for the 2 lads. Playing first team football, albeit in a lower league, will always be better than bounce games!

They should come back more battle hardened!

Was it not Stenny we sent Kenny Miller to when young...he scored loads and cam back almost straight into first team

Space being made in squad for more experienced players until these lads get up to the pace ?

I think KM did go there on loan prior to his first team breakthrough!

A wee bit surprised they went to Stenny, good enough club but home games on artificial pitch.

IIRC he scored 10 goals, 5 braces.

Won`t do these guys any harm, probably helped Riordan along when he went to Cowdenbeath, i would have kept these guys and sent Hogg,Rankin,Nish and Makalamby to Stenhousemuir on a permanent deal.

Knew this was happening a couple weeks back. Good to know my sources stand up :D

These two will probably just be happier to be getting involved in first team action.

there are usually a lot of cancelled games in the lower leagues, perhaps the artifical surface will at least guarantee a competitive work out.

How long is this loan period?? surprised it's not on our club website.

I like to see the younger players going out on loan. Lets them develop and get tested against a good level of opposition, and they can make mistakes away from the glare of the SPL.

Both Welsh and Currie are cracking players, IMHO, and they'll certainly benefit from the experience.

Good luck to them.It will certainly benefit them and also Hibs as well as Stenhousemuir so a good deal all round.

I knew Sean Welsh's old man, isn't Currie his cousin :dunno:

think this is a good move for them, they play well together and stennie have a good wee set up. its only for a month but i think it might get extended.

moyes has been recalled but i can see him going out on loan again.

I'd like to see kurtis Byrne go on loan to somewhere like dunfermline or Partick or somewhere. The boy needs a few games and he is unlikely to get them here for a wee bit. Failing a loan move, I'd rather yogi gave him more cameo appearances rather than Benji who will be off soon.

Lets hope they do better than Moyes, according to my Livi supporting mate he's awful and can't even get in the team just now!

He won't be getting back in either as he's back at Hibs.

Hopefully the both of them do well. First team football is what they need.
