Montgomery is about as inspiring as John Major without Gordon Brown's charisma!

As much as I can't take to CM it would take ineptitude on a gargantuan scale for him to be any worse than Faldo was as captain. From his opening speech to the closing ceremony Faldo was a self endorsing, tactically bankrupt ringpiece. Completely outclassed by Azinger in every department.

I've got to disagree, with Monty's record in the Ryder cup, and his passion for it, I think he is the perfect choice.

He is well respected by the players who will be right up for it.

Mon Europe:thumbsup:

:agree: Know what you mean D:agree:

I can imagine his opening speech:

"But, but, but if I, I do need to call on, on on, on..."

Spit it oot man.

I agree that he can't be as tactically naive as Faldo.:bitchy:

Sorry... Sir Faldo:rolleyes:
