Does anyone know if Stack or Maka will be fit for the derby? Couldn't see it posted elsewhere.

Hughes said that Maka would be fit to face ST Johnstone, so presumedly it'll be him, cue all the anti Maka netters waiting desperately to get their digs in.

Maka will be fine...Stack MIGHT be but would be a risk as he has broken down in training when seemingly ok for a while...epidural in no small proceedure (normally used for extreme pain / complications in child birth) so it must be a significant problem

Funny how it's only the ever dwindling "pro-Maka brigade" that are bothering to post on the subject anymore eh?!

BTW I heard Flynn would've started last night if the game had been on. Gen up.

Stack MUST start if he's fit. If he's toiling we could maybe try Tam McCourt on the off chance he's better than Maka.

If your looking for a keeper, I would be willing to prehaps go for a 1k a week contract?

Scott Thomson The goalkeeping coach would do :agree:

Damn, I had post three in the anti Maka sweep.

So annoying, yesterday I had post 10 for an anti Maka comment in the "what's better, VW Golf or Ford Focus" Thread only for it to come in at post 9.

After seen the highlights on tv here, forget Maka , my vote is Cliff Pike from Hibernian TV. I'm sure he had played in goal once or twice.

I'm not pro or anti Maka, just that when I was writing I realised that the anti Maka brigade would be ready to shoot him down, remember the pro Maka's only come on defending him when all his haters get the boot in first.

Whoever is in goal we need to give then all the support we can and stophaving a go at every wee slip up they make, it is a team game remember folks.

It's a team game, and we need 11 players on top of their game, and fully focussed and committed.....

Hopefully Maka. I still have faith.

Did anyone else see McGregor's latest in a long line of howlers last night? Luckily for him it's been forgotten about in the wake of all the Boyd headlines,

Hopefully Maka will be in goal again, he always does well in these big home games against Hertz.

If we have to play Maka then I'd expect him to have a decent game - he dropped his clangers last week. He won't be due another for 2 or 3, 4 if we're lucky, games

Apart from the game this time last time year...

The smillie face was a give-away

We don't need 11 players on the top of there game to beat Hearts

As for the goalie sitution I hope stack is available

Aye but he signed an autograph, patted a baby on the head and smiled at a wee lassie before the game so his indifferent performance is acceptable.

Do we even need to play a keeper if Stack isn't fit?

Maybe we could get away with it and play 11 outfield players on the basis Hertz strikers won't hit the target anyway.

No keeper should be safer than Makalambay.

I hope Stack is in goals but if Maka is in goals then I hope he gets our support.

Ill say this though, if he does play and he makes a **** up, then it'll be curtains for him.

How ill timed a post DH.

Only 9 hours after your calls for a new coach to be brought in due to the lack of improvement in the keeper situation and Smith is unveiled.

Good to see positive actions in this area thanks to the new coach. It's a shame Mr Marshall wasn't so proactive.
