For anyone who has travelled by train up there is the ground far from the railway station so its within walking distance.

If its easier to just get bus or taxi are they pretty frequent?

"Perth Railway Station is situated on Leonard Street, which is approximately 3 miles away from McDiarmid Park. The easiest way to reach the park from the station is by taxi. Ace Taxis can be contacted on (01738) 633033"

Just to confirm .. taxi is needed.

There is a taxi rank at the train station, another one up the road just past the bus station and then you have the Taylors Taxi's office on your left just past the bus station.
