Another 'mentally unstable' person according to reports. Seems to be a lot of them in Italy at the moment.

Think the woman who tried to assault him needs her head looking at as well :agree:

Wish she had shot him, and kept a bullet back for the Queen. Damn those anachronistic parasites, those symbols of exploitation and repression.

I'd pull the switch myself and get a good night's sleep afterwards, etc etc.

According to reports, its the same person that tried to lunge at him at the Christmas Eve Mass last year. I'd be having a word with his security guys!

She was wearing the same coloured top as last year FFS what's the point of having tight security if all she had to do was vault a fence and attack him.

I must get a job in one of these security details-has anyone ever heard of them foiling an attack?

That Pope's a wee girly.

I do all MY services without security guards, and I live in the Caldera. Anybody tries it on, I deck 'em myself. Don't need Group Four or a buncha cardinals. :bitchy:

Whit a wimp.

to stop her actually managing to attack him, which they did.

i'm not sure it would work to ban every woman with a red top from coming to see the Pope

personally i thought the security bloke did pretty well, jumping in very quickly, and it was good that she didn't get shot to pieces too. if the guy is going to come out into the open the truth is that there is only so much security you can provide him with. you can't stop stuff like this imo, only limit the effect if someone tries it.

the 24 news channels will have been delighted anyway.

Maybe they thought she was the Spanish Inquisition - they wear red tops.

In which case you can understand them being taken by surprise - no one expects the Spanish Inquisition.

The damage was done before the security got there which was the point I was making.

The same women wearing the same red top attacking at the same time as last year is something the security guys should have looked in to before this event took place.

Are you saying nobody thought to check where this women was even though we live in world were terrorist checks are the normal.

Her name must be on some security list after last years incident

As i heard it, this "woman in a red top" had a white beard.

"She" was heard shouting "fek aff, ya fenian kraut bastrit. This is MA gig!"

Come to think of it, the Pope uses the Swiss Guard as his security. Swiss? Hardly going to strike fear into the hearts of anti-Popes everywhere.

not sure why every women in red would be checked to be honest her name would have been known after last years attack.

The Swiss guards are a joke as some have said but the attack on the pope isn't.

Oh, come on, these little red knives have all sorts of attachments that could have someone's eye out.

Think of him as a sort of Doctor Who, regenerating himself every now and then. I think Sylveste McCoy would have been an excellent Pope.
