Looks no bad there, seems she was a bit anorexic, brought up in a religious hoose which is bound to do yer nut in

Ah well, shame but no more of a shame than the 4 year old that died of malaria in Africa as I typed this

Still a death though eh?!

Perhaps could have done without scrimping on the fish suppers. A podgy girl in her early career who seemed to batter her body into mainstream Hollywood acceptability by extreme dieting. Yes, her eyes were striking, as she was practically eyes on a stick. A casualty of Hollywood's notion of perfection methinks.

If poor Brittany was indeed short-changed at the Rapido and the Alba Doro, there are no prizes for guessing who took up the slack:

Still a death but the girl in Africa won't get much publicity - I'm really not very interested in celebrity - all lives are worth the same to me.

Part of life. I always thought that funerals and mourning were there to act as a catalyst for grief, that I can understand, but these RIP threads, what purpose do they serve exactly?

Its not an RIP its the initial news that she had died.

I dont see what the problem is really, shes famous, she was in loads of films i watched as i was growing up, its a shame shes dead.

Why folk have to get all up there own ***** about it is beyond me, so they never knew her or who she was, why post?

And yes as someone said every life is worth the same, but is that wrong to try and let people know of the death of someone they may have seen in some movies in the past?

Although I had never heard of this lassie until she died, I've since found out (as I'm in the middle of watching the first 5 series) that she was the voice of Louann in King of The Hill.

It gives people a chance to share in the 15 (no make that 12) minutes of fame that surround a death announced by the media - if people were part of the mourning, it suggests they were part of the life. I think that anyway.

A bit unfair, FR. To my mind we've quite been able to replace her. Who can forget those foraging runs down that left-wing or the unassuming manner displayed after the CIS triumph?

Strangely obvious point.

:agree:

I know, It's actually amusing watching people attempting to make something out of nothing.

It would make a good comedy sketch.

1 Woman dies
2 Someone says it's sad, which it is
3 Erm, someone makes an obvious point about poor African deaths being sad too. Eureka moment : Just as much as this death in fact!

Is it part of life? Really?

That must be the most significant thing I have learned all year.

Thanks.

Very strange, or maybe not as the girl in Africa doesn't get a headline because we live in a celebrity culture - strangely obvious? I think most things I say are obvious but not everyone does therefore they're not obvious to everyone.

Are you supposed to be funny.
