I know this is unlikely to happen, but they would have a better football team than Scotland already.

They're a wee bit on the late side. Cerys went independent a few years back. It's just a pathetic attempt to gain publicity by a group that haven't had a hit in years. Morally, I consider it outrageous.

I listen to her a lot on Six Music. She sounds gorgeous, but I haven't a clue what she's saying. If that's independence, you can keep it, Mr. Salmon. :grr:

It'll never happen. They wouldn't allow the precedent to be set.

Were Catalunya to be given independence, Basques, Gallegos, Asturianos etc. would all be demanding independence for their respective regions.

Aye, they've been pretty silent on the issue all these years.

Always thought that Basques get a bad press. Women complain that they're uncomfortable, but by God they look good.

Just wikipedia's Catalan footballers:

Valdez

Puyol Pique Navarro Capdevilla

Busquets

Xavi Iniesta Fabregas

Garcia Bojan

Think you have the understatement of the year re Scotland. In some hypothetical situation whereby Catalonia is independant and has all it's best footballers available right now, they would destroy Scotland. In fact they'd be by far and away the best small country at football in the world. I would support them if they were in a World Cup anyway.

Another bleeding heart liberal no doubt, who is morally outraged about things "he" cares about, and has no time for other things. It's just a shame Diana is in heaven, cos she could rescue us from this mess.

Well as far as I know FR he cares about Scotland being an independent country and Hibernian Football Club...I was going to say that as an ex Royal Marine I doubt he's likely to be a bleeding hearted liberal then I remembered paddy Ashdown! :greengrin
