Listening to the Fred MacAulay prog on the radio and there was a bit about Mark Beaumont from Fife, the guy who cycled round the world and who is presently cycling the Americas (Peru just now) and climbing mountains. It turns out he is a Hibby and MacAulay was asking folk to email him with messages of support and encouragement.........didn't catch the address but his blog is here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/cyclingtheamericas/). Apologies if this is old news.

Mikey Stewart's famous bicycle kick will be of interest to him I'm sure.

I watched his documentary last year about his succesful attempt to beat the record for cycling around the world. I found it incredible that having cycled through Iran, India, Pakistan unharmed as soon as he hit the USA he was mugged...twice!!

Good to know he is a Hibby.
