Hope this guy has a slow and painful death.

His wife stayed with him for their kids and she will now be taken from them earlier than she probably would have been.

Sick **** should be hung.

I wonder how he got it.

Why do you wonder that?

And what's the relevance? Please don't say you think it's justifiable if the same thing happened to him.

I'm guessing the most likely thing is that he got it through sex with someone other than his misses, who luckily hadn't caught it, but now has it because of this sicko.

He should be placed on a charge of premediated murder.

He should be placed on a charge of premediated murder.

Call me old fashioned but isn't it more usual for there to be a death before someone is charged with murder?

There will be a premature death due to this mans actions unless a cure is found and rolled out in the near future.

Edit; Prehaps premediated murder is the wrong crime to try him for but it should be something close to the punishment for that crime.

Sounds to me like the guy has another condition, other than just HIV.

Awful thing to do to someone.

Sick *******,

But what could somebody be charged with after doing this ???
its a bit of a legal grey area.

Not really..

If the person KNOWS they have it i imagine it's a pretty straight forward case..

See this.. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article676402.ece

Old but relevant..

People like that make me sick, how do "they" stop her from giving it to other people when she gets out, or keeping it secret if she gets in a relationship again.

They don't.

I suppose she'll be fully rehabilitated now anyway and wouldn't think of doing such a thing.

Shocking, obviously a sad and twisted man, injecting his own family, completely bizarre...

HIV certainly has taken a back seat in this countrty compared to how it was in the 80s. It still exists though and this government have been pretty poor at sex education given the increased number of cases of HIV and explosion in other bugs such as chlamydia.

I was told that there has been a big rise in syphilis when I was up at the clinic back in June.

Edit; I should add that it was not because I was at the clinic. :greengrin

I was told that there has been a big rise in syphilis when I was up at the clinic back in June.

It reminds me of the old joke where two old chaps in the hospital are talking to each other and one says, "I hear they're bringing a case of syphilis onto this ward."

The other chap says, "About time too, I'm fed up with this Lucozade."

Whoops...didn't mean to hijack the thread with trivia. The guy is obviously the **** of the Earth.

They might well have been related to the Army doctor whose regiment was being inspected by the general.

The general wanted to know how many men were sick from various diseases.

"Measles?"

"25, sir."

"Influenza?"

"40, sir."

"Housemaid's Knee?"

"66, sir."

"Gonorrhea?"

"None, sir."

"NONE? What about the clap? How many have the clap?"

"Oh, they've ALL got the clap, sir."

"They've ALL got the clap, but none of them have gonorrhea? How the hell did that happen?"

"Well, sir, I can't spell gonorrhea."

Edit: You're right - that guy is ****.

Could it be that he is a drug user and caught it through sharing needles?
If its through sex then he has been cheating on her, so really she shouldnt have stayed with him.

Still failing to see the logic here.

Junkie who shares needles with other users = wife should stay.

Man cheats = wife should leave.

Regardless of how he was infected he should have took steps to safe guard his family against them contracting it from him not the other way round.
The only up side to all this (and i use the term loosely) is nowadays there is a lot more treatment available for people and most people infected are living longer.I only hope the fact that its been publicised doesnt stigmatise the family and turn them into the local "freak show".

I thought you were implying that his method of contraction somehow contributed towards his method of jabbing his wife with his blood...

How painfully ironic is it that she wanted to stay together for the kids (infact, I would normally argue that, that is a horrible thing to say, I'll stay with you in light of yer life threatening disease.......for the kids...wtf:rolleyes:, but considering the nature of this story, I'll let this one slip ) and ended up with the disease that potentially means she could go before him....

Sick, sick individual - should be locked up for good for that. It virtually is constructive, premeditated murder. :grr:

Don't understand some people and how they can carry out such disgusting acts.

Mike may have inadverantly touched on this above, perhaps he caught it through drug abuse or infidelity. Had there been no kids she would have left him but was willing to overlook this for the sake of their children.

It's not exactly staying with someone because they've developed cancer. They are both life threatening illnesses but there is a much greater chance of the guy contracting the disease as a result of his own actions.

Good AIDS or bad AIDS? - the guy is most certainly a baddy (sick bar steward) cos of what he did.

The women's original attitude seems okay to me if it was towards a normal, caring person, which obviously this bloke isn't.

He might have never got sick - some people have a resistance even without the treatments and there are better treatments all the time, might even be a cure within 20 years. And they could have had protected sex and there would be no transmission.

There are even cases of couples (one infected one not infected) who repeatedly have unprotected sex but the uninfected person doesn't catch it. Transmission depends on lots of different factors.

Don't quite know what you two are getting at with the good aids, bad aids point as I can't access the video at work.

However, my points relate to the guy being a **** and not in relation to the way it was transmitted (if that's what the arguement is). I was merely providing a potential reason that the wife stayed with him.

It was quite a funny and subsequently famous) satire on Brass Eye where the interviewer / host offers a guy a sympathetic ear thinking he was a haemophilliac so had AIDS that was unavoidable. Upon hearing the member of the audience say he'd got it sexually he said 'eugh, I didn't realise you had BAD AIDS' and walked away disgusted.

Just watched the video, where did you figure that this was a good aids, bad aids debate?

And why have we to get a grip?

My opinion is that this callous **** gave it to his wife deliberately after she's stood by him through a difficult time (to say the least) and this is how she's repaid. Deserves everything he gets.
