Did anyone get a clear view of the "dive" by Jamie Murphy? Good decision by the ref?
Looked a pen from where I was..

It was right in front of me - I thought it was a penalty.

:agree: I thought the booking was harsh.

Was in FF and thought it looked a good tackle and did not seem to be too much from "well players but not a booking for diving either just a good Sol tackle but still heart (sorry for using that word here) was in my mouth expecting penalty:thumbsup:

It might have been a penalty, but the dive was overtheatrical and it looked as if he was trying it on. That aside, I thought Brines was poor today. Invariably got every decision for both teams wrong. In a closer game his inept display might have messed things up big time.

:agree: my view too. Nothing illegal by Sol but his strength unbalanced the forward who tipped over - no dive but down a bit easily

Penalty for me as well. A stick on in fact. Put it this way, if the tables were turned and it was a Hibs player going down like that after a tackle by a Motherwell player we would have been howling for it.:agree:

It looked like a penalty to me but the fact that the Motherwell players or fans didn't object too much suggests that it wasn't!

The same player went down like a sniper had hit him only a couple of minutes earlier so I'm convinced Brines decided that he was at it again. The old 'cry wolf' situation.
Did look like a penalty from the east but need to see replay.
As for brines, he was his normal shoi te for both teams.

I have to disagree, it was right in front of me in the Lower West and Bamba got his foot on the ball, the Motherwell player sensed the chance to get a penaly and dived - in my opinion the ref got it spot on.

I was in the West Upper and had a good view, I would have been shouting for a pen if it was a Hibs player and was very glad the ref didn't give it.
It was never a booking though, regardless of whether it was a foul Bamba definitely made contact with the player and I'm not quite sure how he was meant to stay on his feet.

Did think the ref was a bit 'picky' with certain incidents overall aye.

Right in front of me in West Upper; limited if any contact between Sol and the player. Not as bad as the Portsmouth dive yesterday, but similar. Deserved booking for a cheat.
Brines was very poor, did not let the game flow at all

From were I was, there looked to be a bit of contact. Fair to say that if it was up at the other end of the park, we'd all be screaming penalty.

I thought Sol won the ball fairly and the boy fell over in the tackle, just like happens all over the pitch.
Nothing illegal and it shouldn't have been a booking.

Only surprise to me that in the Motherwell team it was Murphy who dived when we all know that O'Brien is the falling down expert

Thought it was a dive -and not his first-according to the paper stats Motherwell only committed 4 fouls and picked up 3 bookings.
