I don't know the first but the second played for both us and the Yams. Maybe Gamba in a Gambian Jambo. But that would be a Gambo, surely. Or a Gambian?

:agree: Ian Bannon was one of my favourite actors. He was awfully good in 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy', I thought.
Wasn't a Gamba an 18th century musical instrument - 'Viol de gamba', IIRC.
Or was Viol de Gamba the guy who discovered the Cape of Good Hope?
I know Vasco Da Gama played football for Brazil. :agree:
