View Full Version : Predictions for Saturday???

The upcoming fixture against Motherwell is as big as they come - they're shaping up to be one of the contenders for a Euro spot and a win would surely put Hibs in the driving seat whereas a loss would throw the door wide open.

So what's the consensus then??? The team hasn't been playing out of their skins recently but has been grinding out the results regardless. Is everything going to click again on Saturdaylike last time we played 'well???

I'd love to think that will be the case but could see it being very close -
a narrow 2-1 victory is my prediction with us all enduring squeaky bum moments in the closing stages...opinions???

2-2, Motherwell will certainly come to ER with aspirations to leave with all 3 points

We are due a defeat and Gannon is a good manager who has got a decent Well team together and he'll fancy a win our patch after the reverse at Fir Park. I'm going for 1-2 the Steelmen.

I sure hope not. I think it's a stick on draw.

I actually think a team coming to ER to try and win the game will benefit Hibs. The likes of Falkirk and Aberdeen came and looked content with a low scoring draw so focussed first and foremost on stopping Hibs playing. If Motherwell come to attack theres a chance it will leave a bit more space for us to play our game.

On saying that i'm not overly confident and would settle for a draw but i'll stick my neck out and say 2-1 Hibs.

I think the longer that Utd are up there the better it is for us, provide we keep winning as well. Deflects some of the pressure.

If they come and actually try to win, I reckon we'll catch them out on the break.

If they just defend and defend. They will either leave with a point. Or score a goal from their only shot on goal in the game.

I hope they attack us. :agree:

Think we will win,

As others have said motherwell attacking us will benefit us.

It has to be pointed out thought that we are up against a very good team. They've lost less games than us this season.:agree:

2-1 hibs or 2-2. Can't make my mind up as Motherwell are a good side and have only been beaten once in the league this season (by us).

Seeing as we have not really played well this last few games, yet still remain unbeaten, tomorrow is the day that we could turn it on and start playing good football against a similar footballing side. Confident of a 3-1 win tomorrow. Stokes due a couple to get back into the good books. Note to Hogg, Bamba and Co.........DON'T play the ball back on the deck to Maka please. Stack is faultless on the deck..........Maka is clueless ! Clear your lines !

I too think Motherwell will come and have a go tomorrow and that will probably suit us . However the weather is to be sh*t so we may have to endure a bit of a slogfest . That said i went for 2-0 us in the predictions , so i'm sticking with it :agree:

Absolutely. Couldn't give a monkey's. If the football makes the eyes bleed but we get 3 points, I'll be happy.

Really looking forward to this one and we will need to be at our best to win it. A one goal victory will do me but even though we are at home a draw would not leave me too distraught.

Can't see us winning.

I think 2-2.

This is a different Motherwell under Jim Gannon.

Good luck for the season but not tomorrow.

1 - 1 for me. Whilst we're not exactly scoring shed loads of goals we're getting pretty hard to beat. Might have said 2 -2 a year or so back :dunno:
