Hibs and United are challenging them in the league.

Hearts are trying to beat them into administration. :agree:

Pundits like DJ are or blindly choose to be ignorant of the facts of their so-called specialist area. Given the facts, Johnstone's inclusion of Hearts as a challenger for top 3, nevermind top 6, simply lacks credibility, yet he is not alone in cloud-cuckoo land. During the recent Hearts v Aberdeen match, the commentator, either Paul Mitchell or the other idiot, Scott somebody with the 'bool in his mooth' accent, came out with the gem - " Remember, we are watching the two clubs who will be challenging for third place at the end of the season." Well at least he didn't say that they would be challenging either of the ugly sisters. What really annoys me is the assertive and confident way they keep us informed of the future events of the SPL without as much as an " in my opinion" or "hopefully" to qualify their biased nonsense. :bitchy: :grr:

Didnt say top or bottom three to be fair and I know what is the most likely

If he's talking domestic competition, to be fair, Hearts are probably going to be challenging to some extent for the League Cup which is one of the three.

If he didn't mean that then he's slavering.

Yes,I heard Mitchell babbling that nonsense as well, and was quite surprised that it hasn't really been brought up on this forum previously. Amazingly, some people on here seem to think he's quite impartial. Don't know where they get that from, he's as biased as any Scottish commentator I've ever heard.

Ah yes, the diddy cup that they're trying ever so hard not to get excited about......despite the fact it's the only thing there is to get excited about over at Tynie, other than whether or not the pay checks will be on time.

Quick Question for those in the know: Any team ever won a cup (diddy or otherwise) and been relegated in the same season?

He and John Craig on the BBC were horrendous.

Not quite the same season but Dundee United won the Scottish Cup in May 2004 and were relegated the following season. I remember it well. :boo hoo:
