...for ensuring that we have one of the most competitive SPL's in a long time.

Hibs and United are staying up there with the OF, while Hearts have done their bit, joining Falkirk and Hamilton in the relegation mix.

Keep up the good work, everyone!

A comparison between the SPL table at the weekend of 22/23 November 2008 and the current table after the games on the weekend of 21/22 November 2009;

2008/09

1-Celtic P-15 PTS-40
2-Rangers P-15 PTS-36
3-Hearts P-15 PTS-26
4-Dundee Utd P-15 PTS-23
5-Hibs P-15 PTS-19
6-Kilmarnock P-15 PTS-19
7-Aberdeen P-15 PTS-18
8-Inverness P-15 PTS-17
9-Motherwell P-15 PTS-17
10-Falkirk P-15 PTS-16
11-St Mirren P-15 PTS-12
12-Hamilton P-15 PTS-11

2009/10

1-Rangers P-11 PTS-25
2-Celtic P-12 PTS-24
3-Hibs P-12 PTS-22
4-Dundee Utd P-11 PTS-22
5-Motherwell P-12 PTS-19
6-Aberdeen P-12 PTS-15
7-St Mirren P-12 PTS-13
8-St Johnstone P-12 PTS-12
9-Hearts P-12 PTS-10
10-Kilmarnock P-12 PTS-9
11-Hamilton P-12 PTS-9
12-Falkirk P-12 PTS-8

After 12 games last season, the table looked like this;

1-Celtic P-12 PTS-31
2-Rangers P-12 PTS-29
3-Dundee Utd P-12 PTS-19
4-Hearts P-12 PTS-17
5-Kilmarnock-12 PTS-16
6-Motherwell P-12 PTS-16
7-Hibs P-12 PTS-15
8-Aberdeen P-12 PTS-14
9-Inverness P-12 PTS-13
10-Falkirk P-12 PTS-12
11-St Mirren P-12 PTS-12
12-Hamilton P-12 PTS-10

So this is how teams' points tally compares between this season and last season after 12 matches;

*Rangers:-1
Celtic:-7
Hibs:+7
*Dundee Utd:+6
Motherwell:+3
Aberdeen:+1
St Mirren:+1
Hearts:-7
Kilmarnock:-7
Hamilton:-1
Falkirk:-4

*Rangers' and Dundee Utd's comparison is based on their points tally after 11 games last season.

Massive improvements for Hibs and Dundee Utd, whereas Celtic, Hearts and Kilmarnock are a lot worse off than last year.

I thought it was funny and hilarious to laugh at the situation at Tynecastle, but TBH they are genuinly relegation material now.

Id miss the Derby's, seriously- they are in a bad bad way and COULD go down.

I could cope with that for a couple of decades. :agree:

Like a lot of people my age I went through a periiod when we only had one derby season between 1976 and 1982 (sorry, that doesn't look right, but I can't work it out at this stage of the weekend).

Anyway, it was rotten. We ended up pretending the Huns was our derby game. That said, things were a bit different then (it all ended with the FTB ushering in a new era of nastiness at the PBS). I wouldn't be averse to them really getting taught a lesson. Of course that's a bit of an oxymoron as far as Yams are concerned - THEY NEVER LEARN.
