I shall pop in on my way home and pick it up shall I. If you could make it out to Mr C Williamson for tax reasons

No, from what I remember they paid the whole 4.4m in oner! That was why we announced it before the last game of the season, to make sure they couldn't change their mind!

there was also a possible £1mil in add-ons(no idea how it was made up, caps/future transfer fee/appearances)

Thats what they paid to Hibs. Rod even got them to pay the VAT and SB's cut which amounted to another £925k. :top marks

and he's injured again, ie missing games whilst up the town or out and about. Perhaps the smellys trying to avoid another pay out to Hibs :cool2:

I am almost certain that that wasn't the case, and that it was all in, at the time. Although I'd be delighted to be wrong!

Am sure there was no add ons. Just a straight 4.5 million transfer fee.

We could offer to take him back and continue turning him into a footballer.

took me approx 20 pages searching on google to find something relating to the add-ons :grr: http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sport/display.var.1405383.0.brown_no_old_firm_tug_of_war _for_me.php

As well as the initial £4.5m, that fee is likely to rise to £5.5m with add-ons and the player himself will earn £6.5m in wages over the entirety of the five-year contract he penned.

Not entirely sure if we were 'due' a million or if there were add-ons of some other sort, but i believe we waived certain parts of the deal when bringing Riordan back to the club. Part of the reason we got him for such a decent fee only months after Celtic quoted ourselves and Burnley (i think) £1m.
