We'll see how good he really is when he fights a top fighter at their true weight. Winning a welterweight title at a catchweight of 145lbs is a joke if you ask me, especially as he gets rules written into contracts to stop his opponents putting on their usual ammount of weight leading up to the fight.
No doubt he's a great fighter but their is no way Mayweather will agree to any silly weight clauses, we'll see how Manny copes then.

:agree: FMJ was prime condition v Hatton yet Hatton was a skeleton v Pacman. Money talks though in the old US of A and there will be squillions of dollars lining up to see that one.

Khan wants to fight Pacquiao, and Hatton.
Think he'd get nailed by Manny...not so sure about Hatton though. I'd rather see Hatton fight Khan than anyone else to be honest. Would be the only Hatton fight that could possibly interest me at this point.

I think Hatton should keep his gloves hung up to be honest. He let his opportunity slip a long time ago.. before his savage beatings by PBF and PacMan. He's a Manc slob plain and simple. Seems to be doing ok at promoting, should stick with that tbh.

Watching Manny knock out Khan? I'd be needing another pair of pants.

I'm sure I saw an interview where Khan says he can't see it happening because by the time he is at that level Manny will be on the way out.

:blah::blah: A Manc slob who scored a TKO victory over Kosta Tszyu, who KOd Jose Luis castillo, who KOd the awkward Carlos Maussa, stepped up in weight to win a WBA belt against Luis Collazo, destroyed Paulie Mallignaggi for 11 rounds, dominated a division for about 4-5 years. A slob who gave Mayweather a tougher time than many so called names including one Juan Manuel marquez. A slob who won 5 major titles in 2 weight disions, a slob who was widely regarded as one of the fittest fighter around when he went in the ring. A slob who absolutely destroyed the domestic light welterweight scene.
If being one step below the 2 best fighters of the current generation is enough to lower you to the rank of Manc slob, one wonders what hope there is for everyone else.

Hatton's going to turn himself into another Michael Watson if he carries on fighting.
IMO he peaked at the Tszyu fight. He was unbelievably good that night. I can't remember the last time I saw a boxer as fit as Hatton was for that fight.
However, his excesses away from the ring have undoubtedly brought about his downfall. It's physically impossible to keep dropping the weight for fights for as long as Hatton has tried to do. It's a shame, because I really like him, but he's finished and should pack up now before he becomes an embarrassment.

I totally agree he should stay away from the sport as he can only tarnish his legacy. The problem i have is with idiots who know nothing about boxing talking Hatton down. We don't get many world class boxers in Britain and we should make the most of the ones we do get.

I watched the Marquez Vs Pac Man on Sat night (the draw) after the Khan fight (since it ****ed up our night of boxing purely due to the time the fight lasted).
What a fight that was!

Agree about Hatton, great fighter, but waited too long before he took the biggest fights of life and was past his prime in them. Would be an unedifying spectacle if he got back into the ring. Too good a fighter and decent a man to become a sad whipping boy.
I'm looking forward to Pacman - Mayweather, but it could be a cagey anti-climax, Mayweather keeping out the way and going for a counterpunching win on points. It depends whether he's got the legs to keep out of range and frustrate Pacman or is just in there for the cheque and damage limitation.
